Hi curious person! Curiosity killed the khajiit, but I guess you're fine... for now.
Two reasons: - There was an OAR version where it wasn't the same (the looping wouldn't work automatically or something like that. This got fixed quickly though.) - Some people prefer having all their animations in the OAR format as it allows for easier customization from the user side within the game itself. Legacy support (DAR) doesn't allow modifying the conditions from within the game, for example.
Buy yeah, in short, it doesn't really matter much.
Hi Jay, does Sitting function requires Skyrim Souls to work properly? Now in-game, when I open wait menu, the game is paused just as in vanilla, after waiting my pc still standing. It does not look like in the showcase video, your character sit immediately while wait menu is still opening, so I don't know if it's intended to work like that or it's error on my end. Thank you!
If you have skyrim souls, it will be like in the video.
If you don't have skyrim souls, you can press WAIT, then the game pauses, then you press ESCAPE to exit the wait menu, then your character will sit automatically.
Hello. What line should I include in the .json file to exclude some NPCs from these animations? For example, if I wanted to exclude NPCs from "Handicapped Citizens- Mihail NPCs and Followers"...
Conflicts with Fortified Whiterun. Jon Battle-born and Olfina Gray-Mane go to sit on the ledge outside the front gate. Only problem is, there's now a wall there, so they clip right through it.
I'm certain that it's Immersive Citizens putting them out there on that ledge. When I think back on my time using that mod, those two sitting outside of Whiterun is immediately where my mind defaults to, as it was the first major change I had noticed and the most impactful. Very cool mod, but conflicts were what ultimately killed it for me.
Should nemesis mess around with this at all? I find when I update and run my nemesis sometimes this mod won't work and I'll have to reinstall the OAR version. Didn't post this as a bug since I'm not sure other people get this problem too. Have deleted my nemesis output too.
Thanks for the reply, it started working again after I reinstalled the oar version. I guess I'll need to have that file handy in case my game acts up again.
Hey, Jay! Could you tell me which folder contains the anim where the knees are bent up to the chest? I'm having an issue where certain NPCs are using this animation on benches indoors, so I'm considering whether to add more conditions or remove it entirely if need be.
With furniture/idle markers in Mistveil Keep placed by Palaces and Castles Enhanced, the Jarl's younger son, Saerlund, keeps hugging his knees while sitting on a bench in a dark corner of the main hall. I mean, I know he's being put under house arrest and treated like a traitor by his family for his anti-Ulfric sentiments, but seeing him so openly dejected every time I walk in is a bit disheartening...lol

EDIT: restart fixed it
