The cave, placed in a previously unmarked mammoth graveyard in the Pale, offers quite an assortment of problems. Main one would be the inability to exit said cave, as the exit itself is tied to a detached object acting as nothing further than a wall.

From what it seems, the exit is just beyond this piece of architecture, but there is no way of reaching it. The tcl command does not work in this area traditionally, and removing the object via disable command removes the exit point along with it. Inspection of the map provides no evidence of a secondary exit, so the only way I've so far found to assist in exiting the area would be either console-switching of cells or reloading a past save.
The cave itself also features a few holes. While they'd give giants and mammoths a chance, regular-sized individuals are prone to falling through the map and sometimes into an infinite loop of respawning.
During attempts of figuring out the above, it was also possible to encounter several unrelated issues such as
- A rain of mammoths - every dead (lootable) mammoth that's scripted to appear in this area will fall from the hole in the ceiling upon entering the area, one by one. http://i.imgur.com/RcIYjO3.jpg Easy to blame the engine for, as creatures in Skyrim sometimes like to fall from the sky into their death.
- Skeleton giants being stuck in physics of the remains while trying to attack or defend themselves. Makes fights easier, I must admit.
- Candlelight, Magelight, lanterns and torches tend to make the water, in combination with the mist, on the bottom of the cave light up to... reflector levels. http://i.imgur.com/k0AlVpQ.jpg While this could be due to a mod I'm using (Realistic water two being the assumed culprit), a friend that doesn't have any texture mods installed reports the same happening.
The cave is an excellent idea. Great method of integrating the beasts which reside within, but will need some more love in order to feel as a proper part of the game.
LOVE the animals, all of them! I am dying for an update that allows Hearthfire inhabitants to expand their animal pens with sheep, pigs, geese, and ducks.
