Precisely why I made it in the first place. No other existing patch was being maintained. Having said that, if RWT team decides to update from 5.6.0, this one may fall into the same category as well.
Patching is very easy if you know how to use xEdit on a basic level. All water surfaces need to have "causes damage" flag turned on and they'll work with RNAD.
Yes, I actually tried editing RealisticWaterTwo.esp before finding this patch. I added "causes damage" to all FNAM - Flags under "water" but still didn't work. Must've messed something up.
Open up my patch and see how I made it. It's been a while, so I probably misremember stuff but AFAIR water has its own category and this where you should make edits.
Btw. your avatar seems familiar, haven't I just seen you on the OTHER site somewhere?
Please note this patch was made for 4.0+version of RWT. It has NOT been updated to or checked if it works right out of the box with RWT 5.0 and beyond. What that means is not that it will break our game, but the changes to water surfaces (if any) made by 5.0 will be reverted to their 4.0 state. This may or may not result in water seams in places where the surfaces no longer match.
Currently I have no plans on updating to new version of RWT or even Skyrim, as I have turned off Steam updates and am going to remain on pre-AE version of Skyrim for as long as I see fit.
I am not quite sure that it works correctly; I haven't gone around checking every place, but there's a little pond outside of Whiterun that doesn't look right when this patch is installed, compared to the old one. I took some screenshots to show what I mean, I just need to figure out how to upload them...
I don't understand what is the issue. I don't see any mismatches or seams. Can you point it out? Whatever you think is wrong with the water surface is exactly as it is in RWT, all I did was add a flag that allowed for drinking and filling containers.
In the upper one, the water's surface is moving around a lot, as if it has a current, and in the lower one, it's still, like a pond should be. I've no idea what causes the issue, but if it's not something that can be fixed it's alright, it's just in two places. The water seams that you fixed are great, and thank you very much for fixing them!
The water surface is controlled by RWT, it has nothing to do with my patch. There has been a number of changes made to several bodies of water by the RWT team. Read the changelog on their mod page in order to see what exactly was changed. If the water moves, that means it moves in latest version of RWT as well and that is as intended. My patch forwards all of that in accordance with RWT vision, I did not modify that data.
The old patch had data for the pre-3.0 water surfaces, they were different and caused seams in places where it conflicted. Moreover old patch did not include the new water surfaces that have been added in recent versions, therefore some bodies of water were unusable by RNAD.

The pond in front of Lakeview is the same way.
