I'll be without internet for the most part from the 22. to the 22. next month, I'll get to your comments as quickly as possible, but my answering and fixing time will be way slower.
What do you think about more passive combat effects ? Like a 2.5% and a 5% movement speed increase for medium light and light, respectively. Heavy and medium heavy could be harder to stagger. Really really great idea btw, thank you for making this. Medium could also get small, passive, outside of combat buffs for staying healthy and balanced, like a faster health regen outside of combat, or maybe they could learn all skills 5% faster due to them being balanced enough to do pretty much anything.
Also, is the supposed to notify me about my weight every time i sleep ? because i feel like it's kinda unnecessary and annoying honestly. But all things considered, this is a really great mod, thank you.
Will think about creating a second version with more effects - the main version is low on effects on purpose. The message is mostly for users of pumping iron, they change weight during sleep. Will add a way to silence them most likely, let me play around with the code a bit.
I think Professions penalty could be applied to Large people.
Large people have fat fingers, more difficult to work with small alchemy/enchanting ingredients. Large people need custom large armor/clothing/equipment. Large people slow down horses, or need bigger horses. Large people need more food.
This could be enacted via barter/price debuffs.
Large people get a Sleep penalty outside their own home, b/c Inn beds are too small.
I love this mod so much and would love to make a similar version for personal use only. Would you be open to sharing your source psc for the weightscript?
Biggest gripe with stuff like this is the lack of debuffs to the player. being large has it's disadvantages as well as bonuses. (And vice versa)
It's why with many mods like this it often leads the player to being grossly overpowered. Things like this, like anything in life should be a tatical choice weighing (pun) up pro's and cons.
How about jump height, running/sprinting speed, stagger chance (to and from enemies), natural damage reduction, crit chance from enemies (the smaller and more fragile you are, the easier to be crit), poison resistance/weakness like in your poison mod.
Edit: you have no idea how I had been searching for this mod after seeing it a while back.
movement speed should be in by default already, i.e. the game. I will be adding a new size above and below the current ones on request as well. Doing that, I will likely take one of your ideas :) thank you!
Stupid question. I'm using Pumping Iron which dynamically changes your weight when using certain skills (heavy armor, two handed, ect). Would just opening Racemenu and closing it be enough for the script to notice the changes?
Hello! I'm having an issue. After I change my character's weight or height, when are the effects of the old sizes supposed to go away? I change from Light Weight to Heavy and Tiny to Tall, go to my Active Effects, and all four are applied. Also, I am curious. What are the values you used when scaling the PC's height after selecting it?
hi, having both is obviously a bug, will try to fix it today if all goes according to plan. I kept the height differences small on purpose, 3% for the extremes, 1% for the intermediate if I remember correctly
Thanks for the info on height differences. The fix mostly works. On a fresh save with v2.3.1: I went through all the different sizes, and Tiny Height is the only one that still remains after changing from it. On an existing save created with v2.3.0 updated to v2.3.1: The effects that were already present on an existing character are not removed when changed to something else. The fix works from there and removes effects from further changes as intended, but the two present at load remain. The issue with Tiny Height is present here as well.
I overlooked a setting on tiny, uploaded a new file. I hope this solves your issue now. If not we can try to dispel the magic effects that don't want to go away via console.
Working as intended. Thank you! The issue with an existing save doesn't affect me as I'm still building my load order. Perhaps those with an existing save would appreciate knowing how to remove them. Also, thank you for this mod. I really appreciate it. My previous solution to make character weight affect carry weight was to port Disparity from LE and turn off every other feature. And, something with Disparity causes the game to crash when mixed with FISSES, so I couldn't use FISSES until now. Again, thank you. Edit: To be clear: when I say, "Working as intended," I mean all the effects are removed when changed to something else. The issue for existing saves made with v.2.3.0 remains.
Carry weight would be cool. I second the idea of stamina being affected. Most of the larger folk I know are capable of short bursts of speed but take a bit longer than smaller folk to recover so you could really do either stamina and/or stamina regen.

Deffo watching this.

What I'd propose is using player.dispel with the following ids to clean up all effects:
801,D62,D65,D67,D68,D69,D6A,D70,D72,D74
I haven't tested this, it MAY be able to break the circular reference created by accident, but I'm not sure. A clean save should in worst case work.
Also, I like carry weight being increased. I think it fits nicely.
