    A few things:
-This mod contains an ITM. The quest record should be removed.
-It can be ESL flagged by just adding the flag in the SSEEdit header.
-It causes crashes with Alternate Start because this mod (without cleaning) overwrites an important Alternate Start Quest. The script this mod edits also overwrites an Alternate Start script.

Yeah. The incompatibility is in the description. Feel free to update the plugin. If you send it to me, I will upload it here and credit you but I don't really have time to do it myself at the moment.

EDIT: Version 1.2 uploaded (both for the versions with Greybeard changes and without Greybeard changes)

      Fixes and improvements :

      -ITM records removed.
      -ESL flagged.
      -Fixes Alternate Start crash.

Not that you need Daedra Hearts when 1st learning Alchemy, but all of these changes are at or just after the tutorial part of the game. There are 5 locked cells for you to practice lock picking in the dungeon and for a new player breaking a lock pick is pretty easy, so your changes are only useful to someone who has already learn the basics. Gerdur is a Stormclock supporter who gives you items to help you early on and the silver ring I usually get is sold to buy gear, so it makes perfect since and you helped save her brother. I'm not saying this mod is a waste of time, but it basically takes place during the tutorial when you need a few things.

The fact that you, as a player, find it convenient that she would give you a valuable ring among other things, doesn't mean that makes logical sense for Gerdur's character. She is already offering you a place to stay and some food. That is already beyond generous. Again, the fact that you receive a lot of lockpicks just because it's the tutorial, and you are supposed to train on those cells, doesn't make it all makes sense from an in-world point of view. When I roleplay, I don't even stop to open the cells because my character just wants to get the hell out of there and escape. His life is more valuable than a few coins. Each to their own. If you don't like the mod, don't use it :)

Can you explain to me how did you do this? I want to do the same thing with the bow you receive later from Hadvar/Ralof. It is kinda breaking immersion since you can obtain one after the combat scene with at least two archers.

I get you. It's kinda immersion breaking Ralof gives you a bow after you had the opportunity to get 3 or 4 of them XD. It would be quite simple. Just go to the quest or dialogue line where Ralof Hadvar talk about taking the bear by surprise and in Scripts you will see they give and object to the player, in this case, the bow. Remove the giveItem XXXX and it should work.

In the case of this mod, I also had to alter the NPC's inventories. Nothing fancy or difficult. Just play around with the CK and you can do it. Good luck.

What mod is that Stormcloak armor in your screenshots from?

I don't remember tbh. I think it was a mod to add subtle variants and diversity to the stormcloak armors.

    Good spot. ;)

Did you look at the Greybeards inventories? They carry some weird stuff as well.

    Edit:

Orgnar very rarily sells Deadra Heart due to the LItemApothecaryIngredienstRare75 in his vendor chest.

Looking further, he also has other alchemical ingredients to sell in his vendor chest. He even has a few potion/poison recipes, yet doesn't have the correct keywords in his vendorlist to be able to sell them. Not that those matter too much in Vanilla though.

He is in fact one of the first NPCs you come across that can teach you how to use the Alchemy lab (tutorial quest), alongside Arcadia in Whiterun and Zaria in Falkreath. I think that's the reason why Bethesda might have viewed him as a cook and alchemist, as Riverwood doesn't really have dedicated alchemist.

I'll take a look at the Greybeards as well XD. What did you find out of place in their inventory?

Regarding Orgnar... I know. I understand Bethesda's reasoning gameplay-wise but it's kinda immersion-breaking Orgnar has an inventory of rare alchemy ingredients when he is just a cook who dabbles in alchemy a bit. Where does he get those Daedra hearts from? XD

Anyways, probably I'll expand this mod a bit as I play if I find anything incongruent in some other vendors' lists.

      Thanks for stopping by ;)

I use quite a few of your mods, by the way. Good stuff.

Ok. That makes sense. I rarely pickpocket NPCs so I didn't notice. Yeah, food, books, ok but leather strips? Maybe Einhart has some hidden secrets XD. And a horker tusk?

And it seems like Borri has been a naughty boy worshipping Talos. Still, I think it's a nice little touch that adds to the character. Unless it is random.

I'll take a look in the CK tomorrow.

EDIT: v1.1 is up with changes to Greybeards' inventories.

Orgnar sells Daedra hearts? Damn, nearly 10 years of playing Skyrim and I never seen him have those.
    TIL.

Doesn't Ralof give you 12 lockpicks during the tutorial?

Yes, he does in vanilla. But I thought it was too much for a prisoner and a warrior to be carrying around 12 lockpicks just because. He now gives you just 2 lockpicks which I think is more reasonable.

4 or 6 more would be better IMO. But good mod anyways, endorsed.

      @KaiinThePhoenix

      Thanks.
As I said, I don't think Ralof should be carrying that many. And there are already 4 lockpicks in the knapsack. So you have 6 to start your adventure. Have fun! Use them wisely.

Ralof is part of a guerilla military faction that occasionally springs their soldiers from Imperial prisons, as evidenced by the civil war questline.  Makes sense that he would have lockpicks.

Orgnar is also an Alchemist, not just a cook.

As for Gerdur, there's no implication that the rings she'll offer are wedding rings, is there?  Maybe they're not important to her.

      You said it yourself: Occasionally.

More importantly, Ralof is a warrior. If he would be adept at lockpicking he would have lockpicked the cell himself so I don't think he is the lockpicking master who gets soldiers out of prison left and right. And he still carries lockpicks in my mod. It's just a much more reasonable quantity.

Orgnar is a cook and a bartender. 90% of his dialogue is related to food and his job. He only sells alchemy ingredients because the Sleeping Giant inn is considered "the tutorial" for alchemists. It's true that he dabbles in alchemy but that shouldn't stock him with rare alchemy ingredients, IMO.

Regarding Gerdur's wedding ring... it was obviously a joke to highlight the kind of items she offers the player. In some playthroughs, she has offered me high-value enchanted rings and pendants. Nonsense.

But each to their own. If you don't agree with the changes, maybe this mod is not for you ;)
