A simple sneak attack sound replacer featuring 28 SFX from Dota 2, the TF2 crit sound, and audio memes. Sounds were selected to fit the feel of Skyrim and have been tweaked to feel as tight and responsive as possible (besides the funny ones!). A silent sneak attack replacer is also included.

Sneak Attack Sound Replacer
Featuring the SFX from Dota 2, the TF2 crit sound, and Various Audio Memes
I’ve been playing Skyrim since 2012, and really have had enough of that drum sound. (Is it even a drum?) So, I finally decided to make this simple replacer.
28 SOUNDS INCLUDED
After going through almost every single Dota 2 sound effect (hundreds), I have selected 12 sounds which I think best suit the feel of critical/sneak attacks in Skyrim. Almost all of these sounds have been tweaked for volume, as well as reduced attack time and fade in for a tighter feel. Some sounds are more subtle while others are more crunchy, visceral, and satisfying.The TF2 Critical Hit sound was also added. I was surprised at how well it fit in, and oh boy it is a real satisfying sound.
8 audio memes have been added too, just for laughs. My favorite is Windows XP shutdown music - best experienced with ranged killcam.
7 new sounds have been as part of release 1.1! Check them out below.
Suggestions for new sounds are more than welcome! Post in the comments if there is anything you would like added and I will get to it when I'm able.

Update: 3 days since mod uploaded, 184 people have chosen to listen to a silent audio file!
INSTALLATION
Three variants are available, main file with all sounds, memes only, and no memes.
For all three, the recommended method to install is via a mod manager, either Vortex or Mod Organizer 2 (MO2) for access to the fomod installer.
Installing via Mod Manager
- When installing via fomod, make sure that you only pick one option. For the silent sneak attack replacer, select “None” from all categories.
Installing Manually
- Choose the .wav file that you want to use, then rename it to “ui_sneakattack_01” without quotes.
- Copy and paste the renamed file into the sound\fx\ui folder in this archive. The file inside is the silent track, click yes to overwrite.
- Copy the “sound” folder into the Data folder of your Skyrim installation.
- Enjoy your new sneak attack sound.
UNINSTALLATION
It is safe to uninstall this mod at any time as it is just a simple sound file replacer.
To uninstall manually, simply delete the file which you copied into the Skyrim folder.
COMPATIBILITY
Compatible with any mod, except mods which also replace the sneak attack sound.
BUGS & ISSUES
I haven’t encountered any issues so far, but do make a bug report if something doesn’t seem to be working correctly.
