I really like the idea of this mod. There's not enough vanilla-type followers on here. That said, I am getting the gray-face bug with these followers. Not a huge deal for the Guards, but the Imperials and Stormcloaks are a no-go due to that.
Unfortunately not working for me. I select the dialogue option "Follow Me," and they don't follow. Interacting with them again, the same option, "Follow Me," remains.
After testing a bit, this mod completely breaks followers.
I have only recruited the two in the Bannered Mare in Whiterun. For some reason the male guard will not level, while the female guard levels automatically as a follower.
I am using UFO and I have spoke with the male guard to train, but he remains level 1.
I love the mod. Thank you for posting it.
I have since recruited guards from other areas. only the male Whiterun guard in the Bannered Mare seems to have the level 1 issue. I still recruit him though.
The "guards" in my mod aren't actual proper guards, they're just basic vanilla followers that look like guards. You can change their gear after recruiting them, but Guard Armor Replacer SSE would not affect them.
It is a facegen thing. In the past you'd have to create your own facegen files using the Creation Kit to make any vanilla NPCs compatible with anything that alters them. It's an extremely common bug in Skyrim - not something specifically caused by this mod. Here are a couple of mod pages that might help:
As far as I can tell there shouldn't be any incompatibility. The guards in my mod are just standard NPC followers dressed up to look like guards. Proper guards in the Creation Kit are handled very differently and are much more complex. OCW doesn't *seem* to have any conflicts with standard follower mods (from what I can see at least) so there should be no conflict. If using the RDO version, that's entirely up to how RDO might conflict with OCW so I'd check the RDO page for that info.
