Okay, so got this working with a bit of reading and fixing.
1. The archive has the ini placed in a folder, but it really should be at the root of the archive so it gets installed to the /Data directory instead of the subfolder. I recreated the archive and installed it just so it's easier to manage. 2. Updated to EAS 1.94 and added Payload Interpreter 3. Run Nemesis and be sure that EAS SE and Payload Interpreter is checked 4. You can run the waterskin animation even if Sunhelms Eating/Drinking animation is unchecked (and you have Animated Eating Redux installed).
This might be a mod manager specific problem, simply installing it through MO2 works just fine, the .ini file is placed into the Data folder. You can check by running "Explore Virtual Folder" from the executables dropdown after installing.
And that's why i always look the comment sections when I download something. Thanks. To be honest the only reason I'm downloading it is to end the annoying bug with the waterskin getting stuck in my character model and the only way to solve is to disable - save - clean uninstall - back to the game - save - close, re-installing and then it's done. It's annoying, just the waterskin stuck in the character without nothing holding it, zero immersion. The funny thing is, as soon as I saw that feature and how it worked in game (toggle the waterskin on/off) I had a feeling it would give me a headache. Especially because I could not unequip it as a normal item. It should've been better implemented, I believe removing its ability to take one precious slot and making it a spell, even tho it's less immersive, it's a better fix than having to deal with it in its current state. I just hope my game don't explode with the shameless amount of animations I have running.
@HiMyNameIsAyle you have two options to modify this file, first you'll notice there's a second folder called the same as this mod and the main folder, what you have to do is move the KID file somewhere else so this file gets directed to the data folder:
if you use vortex go to this mod folder by right clicking the mod and then open in file manager, then move the KID.ini file to the root folder of the mod (in my case "Eating Animations and Sounds - Sunhelm Patch-53017-2-1-1667945526" as an example) and then delete the other empty folder (Eating Animations and Sounds - Sunhelm Patch).
if you are on MO2 I think (I'm really not sure, I forgot how it works in MO2, you might have to do exactly the same as the vortex option) you have to create a data folder in the root folder and then move the KID.ini file there. Sorry if this isn't the best explanation and if I got here late xD
Are you all using a previous version of EAS? This file doesn't work at all with the newest, at least not for me. It's why I mentioned this requiring an update, somewhere below. Did I miss something? :$$
It still works for EAS 1.9.4 check if "EasSunhelmWaterskin_KID.ini" is in the same folder as your esp files. if not chances are it's in a folder called "Eating Animations and Sounds - Sunhelm Patch" You should find "EasSunhelmWaterskin_KID.ini" in that folder then just move the ini file to where your esps are and then everything should work as intended
I had a problem with it but apparently it was because I Merged instead of replacing when updating with MO2. So I still had the old esp and the KID.ini.
Oh and remember to rerun Nemesis after removing the esp.
Sadly this isn't the case- I found the folder you mention, took out the INI and placed it directly where my ESPs are. No water skin animation at all. I then took the INI out, placed it in a folder called "Data" then zipped that one up to see if that kind of manipulation would work- It did not.
Probably a dumb question, but do you have the animation option in Sunhelm activated? I got this to work by manually dropping the ini file into my data folder, then I ticked the animation option in Sunhelm's MCM
Cool, my Skyrim's no longer show drinking water or fill water animations, been having to look around for fixed. so this causes it. working again + able to see Waterskin now too. Thank you.
Asking, can I use this while turning off the sunhelm animation? Turning it on is pretty annoying because it keeps starting every of my eating animation with the bread, while if I turn it off I can't use the waterskin animation. How should I configure it to not run the vanilla animation while still using the waterskin animation?
Edit: oh and rn it doesn't seem to work either. Still vanilla drinking from tankard animation, I do get the drinking animation with water bottle tho. I am using vortex, wonder if it is a problem like how ppl said below?
Late edit after a day: oh damn, seems like you need Eating 1.9.3 instead of .1.9.4.
thank you for the consistent updates, also the new version has animobjectswapper and this unfortunately has to be updated. Hopefully you update it. Thank you so much

You just need to distribute EAS required keyword to Sunhelm's waterskin data.
Edit: I finally managed, for some reason the file did not install by Vortex, I had to do manually.
check if "EasSunhelmWaterskin_KID.ini" is in the same folder as your esp files.

For whatever reason, Vortex just refuses to install this mod's .ini file after deploying.
You just have to copy the .ini file directly to the Data folder in your Skyrim installation to get it working.
+2, installed this and doesn't seem to be working
OK So got this working AFTER I installed Payload Interpreter
