I am already liking this mod, but the description is slightly confusing.
For people like myself who need it spelled out: If you have the MCM menu set to 2 veggies and 1 meat, to fill the bag you need to have 2 veggies and 1 meat. It does not mean 2 veggies or 1 meat! Once you have the required number of items in your inventory, click on the bag, and a prompt will make sure you want to fill the bag with rations.
P.S. this mod seems to be partially compatible with CACO's food items, it doesn't seem to register the multi part food items out of the box, but you can always register them by eating them.
damn, I cant figure out how to fill the travel ration, I have raw meat and some veggies in my inventory, but when I click travel ration it says "you need the required items"
This mod is probably not made for anniversary edition anyway but still a note that it doesn't seem to work on that version. First of all, as mentioned before, I can't replenish the travel rations. Secondly, I can sometimes fast travel with empty rations. (to be more precise: every time I open the map a second time or any other even times). Hopefully this can be updated but if not, that's also fine, no pressure. You got an endorsement anyway for the amazing idea!
...I admit, it took me far longer than it should have to figure out that filling the pouch wasn't working because it needed raw meat to fill, and not cooked meat. I'm not sure if there's a way to make that clearer, other than maybe by editing the failure message to make it clear what it isn't finding in your inventory when trying to fill up.
edit: didn't mean to reply to this comment, apologies. @TypicallySean Thanks for making the mod, I really like this variation of restricting fast travel! All those sacks of potatoes and food vendors feel much more useful.
Maybe I'm having a blonde day or maybe not who knows, but I have no idea how to fill the rations pack.
The description says "Your empty rations can be filled by equipping them from your inventory" yet when I try this it tells me "you lack the required food".
I only have the options of Using/dropping/favouriting. Using does what I mentioned above, I cannot drop it since it's a quest item, and I don't need to favourite it. I'm also a little confused (after reading through the posts, if we find food to fill ration pack in loot or if we can just add food we already have from inventory to the ration pack...if so how do we do this?)
Clicking on food makes me eat it OR if unknown I did have a pop up menu. But still no way to fill the pack please help!
UPDATE: Never mind I figured it out, it just didn't work how I thought it would ha
