My apologies folks. Never release a mod on a few hours worth of sleep and no coffee!

Both versions should work as intended now.

5 years later, I'm back to say, "I still Enjoy and Love having your Compound Bow Collection - Merged in my new set up I just started building up on the latest Steam version of Skyrim AE 1.61170. Leading up to 2 days ago, I was playing on Skyrim SE version 1.5.97 (downgraded from 1.6.640) till I got bored even though my build was very stable!!  To locate your Awesome, crafted Compound Bow Collection - Merged I used to use a Mod called, "AddItemMenu - Ultimate Mod Explorer" - a very useful Mod where one could easily gain items (i.e. items/weapons/armor/etc etc) + showed you a list of your installed Mods where you can simply take items out from versus having to forge them (smithing) or other times couldn't locate specific items from other Mods. Unfortunately, through testing, I learned AddItemMenu + AddItemMenu NG (overwrite) kept causing CTD's at least on my end. Instead, I found an alternate mod for AddItemMenu called, "QUI + QUI - Official Update" so then in game, using F11 key, I was able to find all of my installed Mods and locate this wonderful "Compound Bow Collection - Merged" for Skyrim AE 1.61170 works just fine and I still Love those Black Dragon Arrows!! ^^ Of course, there are other AddItemMenu Alternatives out there for Skyrim AE, but for me I think I will settle down with QUI to get an easy access to your Compound Bows Collection - Merged!! Thank You Again, quicksilverva!! ^^

A Great mod like this could be use in Fallout 4, you know, since those are modern bow. i do hope someone will ported these bow, maybe just one of them to Fallout 4 .
    1. I agree with this statement, we need bows in the Commonwealth, but I do think that that would be a lot of work seeing as someone would have to build an archery mechanic from the ground up to be able to have it in Fallout 4. Any seasoned mod author please correct me if you disagree, I don't make mods myself

Any chance we'll see this updated for Skyrim Anniversary Edition because right now it doesn't work neither download when installed via Vortex allows the bows to show up in game at the forge

I use to love using these bows when I played SSE a few years back

I'd suspect you have something else going on. I just DL'd this (merged version) and everything works perfect (had to change base damage value in ck cuz it's wayyyy too high imo, but that's just personal preference) but yeah mod works just fine and I'm on 1.6.353 ae.

Cool mod, but the sights are so far off the trajectory that it's really annoying.
I've tried AimFix and AGO, and neither can center the arrow on the sight of this mod.
No matter how I adjust the tilt or crosshair settings.
And if you play with the normal settings, then the bow and sight block the visual of the target (at least in first person).
I ultimately just ended up going into creation kit and getting rid of the sight. At least it has a better visual game play now, even though I would have preferred to have it.

Love your work but these bows are way too op for balanced gameplay. Daedric bow is in the 30s for dps and these start at over 100 dps each.

well if you use a mod such as lazytools you can edit the bows damage to not be so op(like same damage a dragonbone bow would do)thats what i did to nerf the bows

Thank You for making these Compound bows for Skyrim SE. I downloaded the mod yesterday, created them and LOVE these. I took notice I could also create replica Elder bows similar to Grandma Shirley's (A Skyrim Follower Mod). They all look realistic too!! I mostly create female nords named after Katniss Everdeen (Hunger Games - lol) to help getting into character + role playing . We all know Katniss is an archer and I've always been fascinated with archery in real life although I never picked up one of these before. Your mod is the closest to ever holding one of these compound bows.

There a way to contact the author? I want to ask permission to use assets but... I mean it's been 5 years, the author may not be around this website anymore.

I'm still around, can't speak for Alrock10 though.

As for permissions for asset usage, I would pay a visit to the mod page for the SLE version and see what Alrock10 has set for permissions. Since this mod is a direct port for that one, I would believe that permissions for that would be inherited for SSE

give it a dwarven texture, make it a replacer, and i'd legitimately believe it could make sense in Skyrim.
