To use this mod, you will need the textures as well, which you can download from the main mod. Using this mod without the required textures will result in purple textureless weapons, so if you have that issue, you know what the problem is, and how to fix it then.
The main file includes leveled list integration as well as crafting recipes. You will most likely need a bashed patch or smashed patch or something like that in order to use it. The optional file includes only crafting recipes, no leveled lists altered.
Strange question but does this make the quiver/arrows standalone too? I want to use the quivers redone Elsopa has but it looks like it includes the iron quiver from their iron mod and I don't want iron arrows to look the same as new wrought iron stuff if they appear. So basically as odd as it sounds I'm kind of hoping the arrows aren't included.
I suppose if it is in there it shouldn't be too hard to just delete the corresponding quiver from the other mod.
Also thanks a lot for this, I love mods that increase the variety of weapons in the wild like this.
If you know what you are doing, it should be relatively easy to either remove one set of arrows, or have one set use the vanilla appearance, and the other the new appearance, whichever you prefer.
No idea how that works, call me old fashioned, but I prefer edited leveled lists the normal way. That way it would also be easier for people to make changes and edits, in case they wanted to add or remove something.
Yes, if you can add them to levelled lists, that would make this mod even better! I wonder if it's possible to create one using xEdit, using the vanilla levelled list as a base? That way, the player can then use tools like Wrye bash or Mator smash to merge the new list into their other mods they have installed.
Uploaded a new version with included leveled lists, I think I managed to find them all. The new Wrought Iron weapons will appear about 1/3rd of the time as normal vanilla iron weapons, not counting enchanted weapons. These new iron weapons will only appear in the game as non-enchanted, though. Can't be bothered to include enchants. Also, that version of the mod will need bashed patches or smashed patches, or manual patching. Let me know if you spot any oversights or errors.
Question, when we take the textures from the original mod do we put the weapons folder into a folder titled 'Elsopa' like how you've done with the meshes? I imagine we can't just leave them as textures/weapons or else the textures really will just overwrite the iron weapons textures.
No, you don't need to put any files anywhere. Just download the "textures only" file, and my mod. The textures already have another name, so they won't overwrite anything. It's only the mesh files that overwrite vanilla, and in my mod the path has been changed for the mesh folder.
So no need to change any files or folders. Only if you download another of ElSopa's resolutions, like 1K or 2K, you will need to delete the "meshes" folder of that mod and use my meshes instead.
Thank you for the updated levelled lists, Carboniac! Great work! :-) It will add variety to the weapons that NPC's have. I'm looking forward to being attacked by a bandit wielding the new spikey mace. That thing looks savage!
Yep, these are perfect weapons for bandits and such, which is why I wanted them alongside my aMidianBorn iron weaponry.
Unless some oversights or errors in the implementation of the leveled lists and such appear, I will consider the mod done now, with both crafting recipes and leveled list integration. But if ElSopa makes more weapon replacer packs in the future, I'll look into making them standalone mods as well, granted he permits it of course, and granted that I intend to use them myself. That's the number one motivation for creating these repetitive xEdit mods, that I intend to use it myself as well =p

Edit: I forgot to make it.

Though it takes a little while for Nexus to update the file name.
