Hi, I'm using Shivas vanilla hair replacer and tried this mod to fix the issue. In the fomod I selected "vanilla" and no eye color options. However the Yellow is still there. Im pretty sure it's an issue with shivas vanilla hair replacer. Will it need a patch then?
AFT messes with this mod, which is sad because it's a good one. What I had to do was first remove her from being managed with AFT, then install the LE yellow eyes fix by WARmadillo (it's fine since it's just a texture replacer), then manage her with AFT again. It's strange because the previous version worked with Vortex, but neither the newer version nor the previous version worked with MO2. Maybe I'm just doing something wrong with MO2, I've only been using it for a week now.
It's really strange, as this mod does not affect NPC stats or behaviour. It's just adjusted head replacer with eyes fix. Using AFT on Serana went without any issues. As in case for LE mod, it's the same replacer as this one, it's not related to texture in any ways it's a replaced mesh without glow option, but LE version didn't work on SE for me (it has incorrect head proportions). My suggestions:
1. I believe you installed this mod over WARmadillo's mod. If that mod works better you should use it if this one has issues on your playthrough, but don't run both mods together. 2. Maybe you installed this mod incorrectly, not chosing the correct options (still I think it's almost impossible, as this would have resulted in a darkface bug).
Never used MO2, but I'd suggest you to check how both of these mods are working alone (LE and this version - never active together).
What about KS Hair - HDT SMP it hasn't any replacer over Serana's look and it can't be the problem. If something from this mod would have affected Serana, it would result in darkface bug. Briefly, as I mentioned above, the eye's fix mod (both my and LE version) are replacing heads in game, not only eyes, that's how NIF models work, they can't be replaced partially by parts (eyes in this case) if you need to replace a specific part, you need a new edited model. That's why I make different compatibility variants with another mods using head meshes from them, because heads differ and applying base vanilla Serana fixed head mesh over another Serana replacer wouldn't work. I wrote this for you to understand how my mod is working :)
I believe you have both eyes fix mods active and that's the issue. Please try what I mentioned above. Good luck!
Hello, it depends which options you chosen when you installed this mod. Please give more details. If you want just Vanilla, you should pick vanilla fix without any other options.
Hi, unfortunately I can't help you now by uploading a compatible fix for your request until the end of November, as I am very far from home and my desktop
Hi, this mod works fine with Total Character Makeover, TCM doesn't introduce new Serana head mesh so you have to select vanilla version when installing in mod manager :))
It's not that hard, you can use "Only Eyes Color Replacer" from files section and install it via mod manager. There always was at this mod file section an option of changing only eye color without replacing head ;)
If you will use Nifskope 2.0 you can path any texture to Serana's head mesh. You can change path on the first line on eye mesh with a different texture by finding BSShaderTextureSet on 00002B6C.nif and then save the changes.
*this image is just an example
You will have to change just the first line. If you are using Only Eye Color Replacer from this mod, use this path: textures\actor\character\eyes\human_brown.dds
If you want default brown or amber eye color, use this path: textures\actors\character\eyes\eyeamber.dds or eyebrown.dds
You can find Serana's head mesh following the game path: meshes\actors\character\facegendata\facegeom\dawnguard.esm\
When you will deploy mods in your mod manager next time, if you will be asked you will have to confirm the changes, otherwise the head will be restored to previous state.
That's 100% working variant. I hope it will help you.
The access path is the same as yours, but unfortunately, as I said, after 10 seconds Serana suddenly has blue eyes. Unfortunately, I don't know about Nifskope, so blue eyes will have to stay.
Really confusing mod to install manually. I'm assuming that since there's no esp in main that an optional one is required and not optional at all? Also, why are the textures in texures/actor rather than textures/actors?

I do use KS Hair - HDT SMP but it doesn't modify any NPCs.

Could you make a version for High Poly Serana and Family (Vanilla Inspired)?
Please take a look in Optional Files
For the first 10 seconds, Serana has brown eyes that suddenly turn blue.

But thank you very much for your help.
Kudos
Unfortunately I am on two work shifts and I will be available by week-end to fix issues from my mods (doing it every week-end)
PS: If you want to install manually, create a folder "actor" instead of existing "actors".
Edit: So used the optional "eyes only" file and that fixed it anyway, but still would be neat!
PS : You pointed to an amazing Serana replacer, never knew of it and it's really good
