Cheating? Who says anything about cheating? I was merely pondering the effect one individual minting their own counterfeit coin in bulk would have on the local economy.
Dude,.. this is a great idea, buuut,.. can you reverse it? Let me present you with a scenario,.. I play skyrim with lots of hardcore mods, including Hardcore capacity and gold coins have weight,.. My settings are usually that my character can only carry 250 coins or 500 with a back pack,.. Soooo,.. if I were able to melt down my coins to make gold bars ( that some how weights less, I know ridiculous ) then I could on theory carry more gold until I have enough to do whatever I need to, then just go and melt down the bars for coins?
Remember we'll need diff weight settings for diff variances of gold coins have weight, maybe just an MCM slider?
Skyrim Recycling lets you turn your gold into ingots, I think Ars Metallica does the same. Might not be exactly what you're looking for but it works for me.

It would be interesting if you try to spend it, you could get in trouble sometimes.

I am however interested what you're trying to tell me with this last sentence of yours, I don't understand it.
