would it be possible to change use this to lower/increase the offsets? I don't have access to my pc at the moment and wanted to change the offsets to fit my game better and this looks like it'd be easy to change in sseedit
Yes, it should be easy to change in SSE Edit. You can create negative offsets simple by adding a -x for the offset. x being the number you want to apply. I have run into some strange things in the past whenever a certain amount of magicka was removed from the player so just be aware of that. I don't know what caused it exactly but I think it had something to do with player offsets, but I'm unsure.
Thanks. I didn't plan on messing with the offsets to much but i want to change my game so i don't gain health/magicka/stamina when leveling so the only way to increase those stats is by increasing an attribute from classic elder scrolls attributes, which i planned to nerf the effects of every stat and cap them to 99. I planned to make health offsets be 36, stamina 61, and magicka the same as base game so I'll be slightly weaker at the beginning of the game but my attributes control how strong i am, like dark souls
While i think it make sense to have a Lv1 with 50 stats like everyone Lv1 NPC...
I think it's stupid to have a character that start Lv1 actually... Our character is an adult and got a background so he should be atleast a bit good on some things. But I admit this is more an issue with RPG in general that makes character start at Lv1 while giving bonus or several stats points, that just making our character begin Lv3 or 4 with what he should know depending of his background. It's not like we are creating a 12 years old kid.
It really just depends on what the game is considering level 1. Even if a game did start your character out at level 3-4 you could still make the same argument "Why level 4 and not 5?" Ultimately it's arbitrary, but once the principle is established it's nice to have consistency. Consistency is the main reason I made this mod, but it always felt that in comparison to other same level npcs/creatures that the pc was too strong. That's why there's so many difficulty mods out there. Subtracting 50 from each stat is the simplest way to increase difficulty and it actually makes sense because now the player actually has their race's stats and it really just improves the gameplay in my experience in a non-dramatic way.
