I don't know for sure because I refuse to download updates one day yes and the next one too, but it certainly sounds like that. In a few months, when they hopefully calm down a little and make up their mind, I'll give you a definitive answer :)
I asked in the Bruma thread and got confirmation that this issues has been fixed and tarlazos fix is no longer needed. Thanks tarlazo for providing the fix until the Bruma team caught up to it!
Quick noob question - I assume this is safe to install mid playthorugh, but do I need to clean anything in resaver once it's installed? Or does the mod just take care of everything?
No, the system recovers sooner or later [till the next time it happens, that is.] The main risks are broken quests or random errors if other script instances are discarded because of the overload. It's also quite a waste of resources spending the whole game checking whether any item you pick up is the specific journal you need to advance one quest in Bruma. The broken quests issue doesn't have a high chance of happening but... "better safe than sorry" is my motto.
Idk about corrupting, but it can screw your game. I had many suspended scripts in a save due to iEquip and my game had stutters every 30 seconds or so. It was unplayable for me at least. And it was because of that, I did all the test possibles.
If the system is constantly overloaded, the game becomes unplayable. But when you get the overload only in specific occasions, like in this case, the system recovers.
Seriously Tarlazo, you have entered the territory of "See mod by "X", download mod automatically." There's very few authors in that class, but I think a lot of us consider you in that now.
