Loving the idea of this. Took me a while to understand how to use it lol but all good.
The weird issue I'm having is that when I'm outside Whiterun and click Riverwood on the signpost, it tells me that I've not discovered it yet. Helgen worksa fine, so I guess the mod itself is working ok.
I'm not using any settlement mods at all on this playthrough.
This is truly a fantastic mod and one of my absolute favorites. It's a must have for every playthrough for me. I've become so accustomed to this immersive form of fast travel that promotes adventure and exploration that I recently decided to "upgrade" with the 'Point the Way' mod & patch. Everything is working great except for one small issue:
The signpost southwest of Silverdrift Lair (Screenshot of location) appears to be glitched and the pole is separate from the signposts (Image). It's the only signpost I've come across with this issue so far.
After experimenting I've deduced that it seems to be a discrepancy between the 'Point the Way' patch and the original 'Point the Way' mod that's causing it. Using 'Point the Way' without this mod and/or patch shows the signpost as it should, but with this mod's patch installed, the visual glitch occurs.
I asked Arthmoor himself and he wrote the following:
The patch author should be able to take care of that with an update. Looks like they moved the signpost is all, or didn't update it at some point when I moved it in the mod or something.
Is there any chance this could be fixed in a future update?
Amazing mod! I can't believe I never found this sooner. I loathed the ease and over-convenience of the default 'travel anywhere you want anytime' system in vanilla Skyrim. The fact that this restricts you to only travel to the main holds is great, as it encourages on-foot exploration, which is a must for immersive playthroughs! Thank you so much for this awesome mod!
Ah, I searched for other road signs fast travel ports and didnt see any, but that looks like its own thing , so yeah people should probably use that one unless they really really prefer the oldrim memories of this mod lol
Completely different approaches, the other one enables fast travel and lets you choose the destination, this one uses predefined target locations for each signpost which makes more sense imo.
