Hey, I was just wondering. I can't get the birds to give me a feather. I've tried many times, it gives me the option to talk to them and catch them, but then nothing happens. I've done this over and over, and nothing. So I went on here and looked through the previous comments, and saw where you told someone that if it doesn't work, you can go to the console and manually add them. But the problem is, when I do 'help feathers' it gives me codes for all the vanilla feathers in the game, but not these. And yet, when I go to a forge, I have an option to make the amulets except I don't have the feathers. I seriously have no idea how I'm supposed to get the feathers. Do I just keep trying and trying until I snatch one off of a bird as it hovers overhead? Or is it glitching?
You should get the message "Bird easily escapes..." after you click on the catch bird dialog option. If it worked the feather is then added into your Misc Inventory not Ingredients.
Here are the steps to trouble-shoot: 1. Try meeting the birds first by trying to talk to them then go into the annex tree house and come back out again to see if the dialog option works. This also resets the birds so they all hover around the tree stump. Sometimes this step will fix a dialog bug and the "Catch Bird" dialog will work.
2. You can use this step to add a feather or an amulet. If the feathers will not appear try searching for the amulet instead. Type: ~ <Enter> Type: Help Amulet The amulet ID numbers will be listed. Type: player.additem (amulet ID number) 1 This will then add the amulet into your apparel inventory. Once you equip the amulet the bird will be a companion or if you use these steps for a feather the feather will be in your inventory so you can make an amulet.
Great mod! Waiting for that owl lol. How about other birds like peregrine falcons, or some cute eared nightjars, red bearded vultures. I think shoebills could be cool combat companions on foot. Great work on the mod! Hoping one day for animations or something so they can perch on player's arm :D
Love the mod, but I have 2 issues. The bird makes dragon sounds when flying, landing and breathing which is pretty annoying as these sounds are deeply imbedded into my brain as danger and it's totally messing with my head. Also in combat my raven started doing ice shouts which I assume isn't supposed to happen haha
The mod uses Skyrim Dragon animation for the birds. I am working on a custom hkx file but have not figured out how to do this yet. In the meantime, any mod that changes dragon sounds will cause the dragon sounds to show up again... :( As soon as I teach myself how I will post a fix.
mihail just releasedf a beautifull raven model, and normally is ok with his models being used on other mods. You could contact him to ask for its use. they look really nice.
Are you considering adding a Bone Hawk to your "Realms of the Dragon" mod? I'd love that have that one as I like necromancy and the look of the Bone Hawk in general.
edit: Or I guess adding a Bone Hawk to this mod like you did with that Phoenix

Thanks for checking out this Falconry mod. I hope you enjoy your new bird companion.
All donation points for this mod are going to an animal charity (WCS).
There are five birds available and you don't have to be a Ranger to get a bird companion.
I built this mod to the best of my self-taught ability. If someone wants to tutor me on adding additional features I would welcome their advice.
