Hey, just joined the nexus and this is my first post! I think this mod is a great addition! I had one suggestion maybe for when you flesh all the other aspects you plan to do. If instead of inns simply not having certain food available, what if the stock and price was reflective of supply and demand based on location and scarcity? I think it would make sense that sometimes really far away inns would not have certain items because of shortages or just selling out, but what if inland inns had much higher fish prices and lower stocks to reflect real world markets? I like what you have started and its something to build on for sure!

Edit: The thought just came to me but it could be a part of a bigger inn/trade overhaul and spark larger NPC dialogue in inns like "hey friend, did you see a shipment of salmon just came from solitude. Its a delicacy there. Its worth a try... if you can afford it" and small side quests for caravan protection or deliveries. This is probably way more in scope but I just thought id put the idea out there.

I am glad you like it, but to be honest, I have no idea how i would go about implementing your ideas. Maybe I can research it later, as I think something similar has been done with a few commerce type mods (mostly dealing with armor and the like. But right now my time is kind of limited by having a 5 month old, I only get to work on mods and stuff when he is asleep, and actually getting to play the game is right out.

Hey not a problem! I honestly was just kinda throwing some ideas out there for anyone reading through this forum. Maybe it will inspire someone or maybe someone will know where to point to something like this. I do think I remember seeing some commerce mod review dealing with similar tweeks a while back but I have no idea whats gotten to skyrim SE yet. If i ever feel bold enough... maybe ill just have to try it out myself!

Interesting mod and definitely worth a look.

The only thing that's slightly bugging me is the lack of buyable bread. Wouldn't places with windmills feasibly be able to create flour and thus bread (also Carlotta in Whiterun has a line in the market about fresh bread still being warm from the oven)? Or were you just looking at local crops to see if wheat was among them?

Edit: Re-read the description and saw the bit about ovens. While it makes sense, couldn't bread be buyable as well as other local meat/vegetable products from market vendors like Carlotta? (Hope this isn't sounding too nit-picky, still appreciate the mod)

Either way, interesting mod. Thanks for the added immersion.

That is part of the bigger mod I am working on, adding ovens to inns and stuff, like I said, this was just a quick thing I put out, kind of too see how it worked to add it to the other mod, and I figured I did it, so I might as well release it.

I can see where you are coming from with this, totally, and I think that some places with windmills might sell flour, but Hearthfires never added any ovens to anywhere in Skyrim other than build-able homes, so I don't see it as practical (at the moment) to have bread for sale.

I might go back and change it later, and expand on this...but for the moment, I am just porting over some of my older work that I consider finished.

And yeah, it seems odd to me that Carlotta has that line, when she does not even have an oven.

This literally doesnt make sense. There are trade ships all over skyrim and Whiterun being the trading capital.

We have ships and planes and such in real life but you'll find more and better fish markets on the coast than you would inland.

      Thank you!!
I still have problems with eating sushi in a land locked state, it just seems wrong somehow. But yes, thank you!

Also, as an aside to lewdmeat...there are not trade ships all over skyrim, there are a few along the coast...but most of the trading seems to be the Khajiit Caravans. You almost never see anyone else traveling from city to city (without a different mod), but if you don't like the mod, don't use it.

Radical Remodel: a remodel of the interiors of all buildings, as well as the addition of new things such as bakeries, bath houses, libraries, and the like to some towns.
I was also including new NPC appearances and AI packages for the whole thing, but think I will separate that out into a different mod.

It is sort of on hold at the moment, since I had a kid, he takes up most of my time, so I was working on porting over my old mods while he was napping today...some of them anyway, the ones with bugs I want to squash first before I make them for SSE.
