So I have an idea of what this might be, I'll try a new fix this weekend when I have time. It has to do with rapidly restarting a quest can sometimes f*#@ up the quest, and I should try to use Story Manager to start the quest instead. Thanks to Ashen for finding what is probably another example of this sort of bug here: https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/4986015-wet-and-cold/page-120#entry84747133

If you can't find a fix you could add a Mcm with a button to run the fix command, or even assign it to a hotkey. Mcm could be nice to configure the travel supply weight too. I know it's not the best but it would be better than having to rewrite the command every time i want to fast travel.
When can we expect an update to fix this mod? It seems like everyone who has downloaded it cannot use it past a certain point, like myself. Typing out the fix command every time to use a sign post isn't great. It's been mentioned on this thread that an MCM button could be configured to run the script - any update on fixing the mod? It's a great concept and was great up until it stopped working. Plenty of people waiting for this to be fixed with what could be an easy solution.
You could put a .bat file in your skyrim directory with the commands in it and just call it like sign.bat and then all you should have to do is type "bat sign" and it'll do it for you.
On my end, this only happens after using the signs. Would it be possible to fix it by making the commands automatically run after traveling with a short delay functioning as a cooldown in game?
This mod works perfectly with Sunhelm, but yesterday I got stuck in a mountain and too lazy to load the save file so I Disable the Sunhelm in MCM to fast travel somewhere else and then turned it back on. After that, the mod has stopped working for me and I have to use the Console command for every signpost now :(
Ok, correlation doesn't mean causation, and this happened on a heavily modded run, BUT: since i installed Better Third Person Selection on my setup, signs started working again. Don't know why. Hope some more people test it out.
Hi! For some reason every now and then fast travel with the sign posts breaks and I don't know why. From any signpost I try to use it says "You cannot fast travel from this location" or whatever and it's really bothersome. Does anyone know how to fix this? Or does the commands in the sticky post fix this too?
tried with the workaround using console commands, and so far it's been working. but i do have one request for anyone able to help me here, is there any way to disable the fast travel when using the signpost? i'm playing with compass turned off, and would be dope to use the signpost as my way to know where am i at the map but without the ability to fast travel, so the fast travel can only be accessed by the travel pack. anyone can help?
Legit another mod you have to use so many workarounds for. Works great for about 10 levels but now I have to set up a hot key to run a command everytime it stops working?? Can't uninstall either or it's CTD.
I tried to use Console Binder as a work around but there's a character limit on what you can enter and the console commands to fix the posts exceed that limit. Have you come across that issue or found a workaround?
Credit for this quick workaround from Nexus mods user Vedahl! "" I think found a more continent workaround than typing out the two commands every time the signs break
1. Make two text documents in the game folder named sign1 and sign2. in sign1 type "stopquest aSOS_SignFinderQuest", and in sign2 type "startquest aSOS_SignFinderQuest" (no quotations) 2. Download console binder (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/54846). This mod lets you set console commands to hotkeys. 3. in-game, go to the console binder MCM and set two new commands for the same hotkey, first "bat sign1" then "bat sign2" (again, no quotations) . assign hotkey to whatever key you want
When you press the hotkey, it should run the stop and start quest commands, making the signs work
"" I just Tried this with Console binder and it worked! make sure in the field for type command to put the command bat sign1 for the first command and bat sign2 for the second command! for the text document i used Notepad
I'd just like to say Thank you Crpytus for the easy guide on how to fix this. I've been using a key bind every time I need to use a sign post and you've really saved the mod, and a few hours of tinkering with fast travel settings, for me!
I can no longer craft travel supplies... that just stopped all of a sudden. can still fast travel at sign posts though.
EDIT: after every single fast travel I have to re-enter the console command to enable it, I dunno why it broke, but having to enter console commands defeats the purpose of having a mod for immersion's sake.
I too have the signs no longer allowing fast travel, it's odd, I fast traveled to the ruins where you get that horn for the greybeards, and after coming out, no more fast travel allowed... loading an earlier save didn't help... and neither did the console commands :(
So, I downloaded this mod and it works wonderfullly! Small problem, however, is that in the description it says that the normal fast travel is disabled, but for me it's still enabled. Is there perhaps a fix for this?
where are they? this is genuiline question. as a werewolf player i need to have a way to mark them ahead of time so i know were the closest is. ive looked up sign post and map locations and i to me its pointless to not have any ingame at least the ones thi mod provides.
erm... this mod doesn't add signposts. It adds the ability to fast travel by clicking on signposts already in game. You know, the "street signs" near road interesections and such. They are not marked on the map.

- Open Console
- type "stopquest aSOS_SignFinderQuest"
- type "startquest aSOS_SignFinderQuest"
Without the quotations ofcI'm working with Aix in order to figure out why this is happening and if we can fix it.
