About this mod

Gore Tusk is a Goblin town with various shops and crafting areas. Face the King in the Arena to take Gore Tusk for yourself!

Requirements
Permissions and credits
Changelogs
Gore Tusk lays betwixt Rorikstead and Whiterun, it is a fully functional town with a difference.

You can visit and trade with the inhabitants and use their crafting areas like any other town or city but the main meat of this mod lays in facing the king in the arena to become the new leader of Gore Tusk and unlock all of it's amenities.

Without being the leader of Gore Tusk you can still access all the shops and crafting areas, there's even a grubby bed you can use free of charge!
But if you manage to kill the king and take his place you will unlock many functions, such as:

- The Arena
Your throne sits aside the great Goblin arena. Choose who or what to spawn for each of the two teams then open the cages and watch them fight to the death, you can even fight in the arena yourself! Every week a chest will be filled with your share of the arena bet winnings.

- The Raid Tower
Within this grizzly tower you may plan raids on various places, such as villages, animal dens or Dwemer ruins. Then after a few days your Goblins will return with area specific loot and stash it in the store room below for your sticky little royal fingers.

- The Royal Tent
A player home located right in the middle of Gore Tusk. It has plenty of storage and just outside of the door you will find two tribute chests, which your minions will fill with treasures and junk every few weeks.

- Goblins of Gore Tusk
The Goblins of Gore Tusk will now be your allies and come to your aid whenever you're nearby. They will barely even mind if you decide you've had a bad day and just want to beat a grunt to death with your bare fists after a hard day of lazing around watching the arena fights.

- The Brood Mother
She resides in the spawning pools and will teach you how to summon various Goblin minions in battle, for a price. The summonable minions come in 9 varieties, all of which level with you so you should find them useful whatever level you are. They are also all 'thralls' so they will follow you until they die or you summon something else.

1 Grunt - Weak cheap melee fighter.
2 Archer - Weak cheap ranged fighter with a slightly poisoned bow.
3 Wolfkin - An adept hunter armed with a deadly poisoned bow and will call wolves in combat.
4 Spiderkin - A spider trainer who uses ranged poison attacks and will call upon small spiders in combat.
5 Berzerker - A crazed dual wielding axe user who has a powerful combat regenerative ability and will call a bear in combat.
6 Batkin - A smelly horrible bat trainer who will utilise bats in various ways in combat, the Batkin is a powerful ranged fighter.
7 Warboss - These chaps are your second in command, they are strong and good in either ranged or melee combat. If the situation calls for it they may call grunts or archers to their aid.
8 Shaman - An offensive elemental spell user who will gain more powerful spells as you gain levels. Shaman will also use spells from other mods, such as Elemental Destruction.
9 Witch Doctor - A support minion who will use a venomous crossbow at range, will summon goblin skeletons, raise the dead and even heal the player.

Here are three videos showcasing various aspects of the mod. The second and third videos will contain some more in depth spoilers about the arena and summonable minions, so if you want to be surprised, only watch the first video. Hopefully Arctic Scrolls or someone will come by and make a sick video sometime.

-MINIONS SHOWCASE-

=BUGS=
None so far but let me know if you find anything weird and I'll have at it.
Also let me know if you find anything to be over/underpowered.

=TECHY STUFF=
There are a lot of Goblins around the exterior, if weird stuff happens (floating NPCs or low FPS) then either use the optional 'LESS GOBLINS' file instead, or go and get the 'Actor Limit Fix' mod and it's requirements. I have Actor Limit Fix and a 1070ti (and ENB and a few graphical enhancement mods) and it runs fine in the area. There are plenty of occlusion planes hidden in walls and obstacles that really help boost the FPS.
The Arena can potentially be abused. They are free to spawn and you can take NPCs gear when they're dead. Most have nothing of real value. It's up to you if you want to abuse it or not. I recommend taking from those you kill yourself and disposing of the corpses after each fight instead of going down and collecting after each fight. There's plenty of treats you'll get being the King/Queen anyway. Share of bets, raids and tribute.
CORPSE DISPOSAL?! Yes! The Arena would get rather clogged with corpses if not for CORPSE BATS. Release them via a pull chain by the side of the throne, they will flutter and screech out in an instant and consume all dead flesh in the cell.
If you spawn TOO MANY npcs in the arena they will pour out from the cages before you open the doors. Not a big issue. Bigger creatures such as sabrecats or bears are supposed to spawn in the arena as to not block up the cage spawns, so that is normal.
You can store stuff in chests in the shops and around the forge even without being king/queen. The small NON-king/queen bed is located by the Smith (in screenshot). King/queen tent/player home has more storage as is unlocked with the king's key.
Upon killing the king you are added to an allied faction so the goblins will be your mates. The king is set to protected as you must land the killing blow or you may not be added to the allied faction. After killing the king you can check by punching any non-arena goblin, if they are docile after 1 hit then it worked.
Tribute and arena winnings chests will replace old inventory within their scripted respawn time. 2 weeks for tribute and 1 for arena winnings. Come back to collect often. The raid loot will not despawn old loot on new loot arrival. There are TRASH/GARBAGE barrels around Gore Tusk which will eventually despawn any crud you lump in there.
There is a horse marker on the forge/smelter level of Gore Tusk so you'll have your steed waiting for you when you need (steed not included).
Now and again there will be attacks on Gore Tusk by Whiterun Hold guards and Bandits. The Guards are not apart of a crime faction so you can kill them without worrying about trouble from the law.

=CREDITS=
- The usual, Bethesda/Skyrim/God Howard etc
- Mihail for making the Goblins used in this mod and being kind enough to allow other people to make new mods with them. This mod wouldn't exist if not for you, so thank you very much!
- IsharaMeradin for helping me rewrite a section of a script.
- Maxarturo for pointing me in the right direction a few times.
- Dylbill for his boundless knowledge and patience. Without him none of the scripted functions would exist (Arena/Raids/Tribute/Witch Doctor Healing Player) and this would be a much shallower mod because of it. Thank you so much.
- AND YOU! YES. YOU! For playing it! I made this for you. So, I hope you enjoy it. Upload screenshots of whatever ridiculous things you do as the sovereign of Gore Tusk!
