A single ladder caused the mod to go over the formID limit. I have removed the ladder as this was the safest option, compacting the formIDs just to keep a cosmetic ladder would have broken EVERYONES saves. I still highly recommend reverting your save to before 1.0.1 was added however to be extra safe.
I can only apologize folks. Im still learning, and I will get better at this in the future.
Thanks for the mod. I only found one problem: the prison gate that allows access to the sewer is way too small for me to fit in. I can only go inside by using the tcl command. Is this a bug or something? I'm running the latest version (1.6. something).
Great little mod, thank you. I use Skyrim Sewers as well and the lack of this particular alternate route bugged me too.
Just an FYI: the ladder didn't "take it over the limit" - it's just a limitation that the CK doesn't automatically know to keep new IDs within the lower ESL range. You need to change them yourself (just in xEdit after you finish is easiest, I find, and you can check for dirty edits/ITMs while you're there too).
It's safe to compact IDs and flag ESL, even on a game in progress. No other mod is going to be referencing these IDs, so there's not going to be anything to break.
Any chance you'd be able to make the two entrances separate? I have a ratway mod that completely rearranges the area, but I'd love for a sewer exit from the jail escape route!
Is there any challenge through the escape? If not, any chance for adding some challenges?
I simply dislike the idea of being able to "cheat" (saying it generally, not specifically trying to say that your mod is cheat, fyi), so i believe a form of convenience/advantage should come with its own inconvenience/disadvantage. What do you think?
What makes you think its cheating, generally or otherwise? Its not directly tied to escaping from Riftens jail if thats what you mean. All this does is make Riftens ratways consistent with all the other sewers the likes of Skyrim Sewers adds, giving players a way to get out of the city through the sewer system instead of having to run through the main gates.
Id also say the ratways themselves tend to be challenging enough to get through with various npcs and creatures down there wanting to kill you :P
No worries, I'm not a modder myself but I imagine it can be pretty tricky sometimes. Looking forward to any fixes though, I'd love to see it with my thief!
Not possible to compact the formIDs im afraid, doing so would have broken everyones saves who already downloaded the mod. The new upload should fix it for everyone.
This is a very welcome mod! I was always frustrated with the Riften Jail's... inescapability. I haven't looked into mods for it before, but this one sounds like just what I'd like to have! Will be giving it a download!
Thanks, appreciate it! Ive been majorly frustrated at it aswell for the past few weeks, so I finally decided to do it myself lol. Hope you enjoy. I just updated the mod, nothing major, just refining what ive done :P
