Perhaps a silly question: but should I exclude this mod when generating LOD (Dyndolod 3 Alpha) or does that not matter?

This mod is having some issues with the GOG version. If you read further below, you can see that some GOG users are reporting the same problem after installing this mod: the game crashes after the Bethesda logo appears. If you are a GOG user, do not download this mod until the author fixes it for the same.

Install this mod https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/106441 or you will crash with a high number of mods.

Running Nolvus, didn't seem to do much for me. I tested all around Whiterun and Riverwood.

Hey, I'm interested in trying it out, but is it safe to add and remove during a save?

No mod, no matter what anyone says, even .dlls is safe to add or remove mid playthrough. It's why I almost never have any crashes on 4001 plugin modlist, infact no crashes except that my CPU can't handle some places(riften). Once your done, you're done. You add something, u break something.

Nah I've done it a dozen times, in 3 different bugthesda games, no issue. It's not life or death

@Alvoltz whilst true, with this mindset you're never actually going to play the game

@Alvoltz. I've always wondered why people say it's not safe. I think you have to uniquely set yourself up for failure to f*#@ up a save by removing a mod. Like uninstalling falskaar while you're in falskaar might be bad..

but basically this comment is just to say, baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaased

Saying the safest way to mod is to never remove any mod mid-playthrough is like saying the safest way to avoid getting hit by a car is to never leave your house. Technically true, but also ridiculously extreme and just... dumb. Most unscripted mods are absolutely fine to remove mid-playthrough, so long as you actually understand how the game works and what the mod does to it.

to anyone having trouble with the "no valid game data error" while installing the non USSEP version:
selecting the all in one option in the fomod results in MO2 saying there is "no valid game data" and the mod fails to work at all. the solution?
select the modular option and select cities and exteriors. you can choose together or separate as neither of them trigger the error and the mod will work fine.
i'm not wrinkly brain enough to know why it does this but at least its usable. downside is you get 2 esps instead of 1, but its worth for such a great mod. :)

    Wow !

With my 1660 TI + Ryzen 3600 ( no overclocking done ) and a pretty heavy modded game, + eFPS, I normally get max 45 - 51 FPS in Whiterun with Blubbo's trees and Skyland AIO installed at 1080 P. Now, with your mod I get at least 58 and max 76 ! Indoors Whiterun for ex. 90 - 127 FPS. I'm amazed ! That is with eFPS installed too.

P.s. I walked thru Solitude and Riften too with good FPS.

Thank you for a super great mod ! Endorsed.

Glad to hear positive feedback on this one, jumping into my game with it installed at the time of writing and praying to the Divines for my FPS to be stable...

My gtx 1660ti+i3 10th gen must be a trash that even with this, i dont feel like it boost FPS or anything. The same old laggy skyrim when in town. I dont have graphics mods, 4k skins or anything and town overhauls is spaghetti's only.
Must be because of my 1175 plugins lol

Just a question, are you using BethINI along with everything? Recommended settings in BethINI can do wonders really, along with other FPS mods.

I only play VR and USSEP isn’t even an option because the mod authors don’t like playing the game in VR for some reason, and so they purposely do not support USSEP for VR , so it’s safe and stable to use this mod without USSEP and also in VR?

USSEP is just a recommendation, not a deprecated mod, so I suppose it should work. I also play in vr. Have you tried the mod yet? Is it possible to see the difference in FPS vs graphics?

this is the only USSEP version that exists that works with skyrimVR.. it does work Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch - USSEP at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com) only with this linked download to an older one
I've used this for a long time on a 300+ hour playthrough and it works fine

You only ever have to re-run dyndolod if you feel your distant objects don't match your close objects. After it's generated it's no different than any other LOD improvement mod AFAIK, what makes it special is that it's one custom made for your mods so distance matches up close
