Just wanted to give an FYI that in my testing, this mod and it's masters (Redbags/Solitude Docks) should be loaded AFTER Landscape Fixes for Grass Mods, otherwise the mountain ends up burying the docks entrance to solitude (and half the town, lol). Hope this info is helpful to someone!
Generally speaking all structural mods located in main Skyrim worldspace should be loaded after any grass/landscape mod. I've added such information to description page.
THIS is a truly great patch! It's like an entirely new city addition, on par with the five larger cities.
Makes the entire docks feel like a cohesive urban entity and as the working class counterpoint to the luxury of the upper city. Everything is laid-out so skillfully that it really does feel as though the entire space was done by a single mod author.
It's a crazy ask but the finishing touch on a glorious exterior Solitude would be to also patch with JK's Exterior, though likely only the lumber mill and Katka's Farm since the docks area is very much spoken for already with this patch.
PSA: Listen to Czasior on the load order, strictly. SSEEdit will spit out an error if Solitude Docks is loaded lower (as in before) RedBag's Solitude. This is incorrect. If you listen to SSEEdit and load Solitude Docks after RedBag's Solitude to clear the error, you WILL be missing planks on the boardwalk near the Solitude Arch/Across the water from the East Empire Warehouse. Follow Czasior's suggested load order to correct the bug.
RedBag's with Solitude Docks Updated is a very nice combination indeed. In addition to combining the mods, this patch also makes many navmesh improvements. Followers have an easier time following than in the original mods. Also the patch to include DK's Ships in this setup is wonderful. These ship models are so much nicer than the vanilla game ones.
You're welcome, I tried my best. I suggest checking Rob's bugfixed version of the mod, it contains even better navmeshing and some other fixes. We plan to rework/update all my patches for RedBag's Solitude at some point to make the combo even better. But, unfortunately, both of us have so much other work to do now, so we can't determine when we finish the job.
Hello Czasior, I am using both Lux Via and Lux orbis along with Redbag's Solitude Docks Updated, and using both of the patch files for Lux via and Lux orbis here you've provided. And I have some small issue that maybe you can help me to sort out.
1. The lantern in front of the dock flying down from the lamp pole and floating in the sky without coalition. 2. Move to the new blacksmith added by Solitude docks updated and go ahead, the 2 lanterns have all been doubled.
My load order is as below :
- Lux via - Solitude docks updated (with rob's fix) - Redbag's solitude ( with rob's fix) - Lux Orbis - Redbag's solitude docks updated (with rob's fix) - Lux Orbis patch - Lux Via patch
I have tried other load order and sometimes lead to even disappearance of at least 4 lamp poles in the area ...
I have the Orbis / Via patches update partially done, just need to verify if both play nicely together and perform one more CR check. Both will be updated and uploaded soon (hopefully). I just need to finish the patch for Northern Roads.
Any possibility to make this Compatible with GCoS aswell? The combo of 3 is really pretty to give solitude a grand feel but some docks parts are hellishly clipped.
