The full serious answer is that there really is no good reason. I wanted as many of the NPCs to be female as possible (you may ask why I wanted that, and I will let you take a guess on that one) and I discovered a way to do that (at least as far as most random ones are concerned). After I did that, I decided to make a male version, mostly "just because" but partially because it wasn't too much additional work.
I have upwards of 25 mods for Skyrim that I have made/customized for myself but, as of now, this is one of only two that I feel is original enough and would work reliably enough to publish for others to use, but I don't expect any mods of mine to become hits or even semi-popular. I also suspected that the name would draw some haters, but it's accurate, descriptive and most of all, memorable (to me anyway). If someone doesn't like it, they don't have to use it, or can rename it once they add it. I did consider putting this mod under some kind of NSFW filter. But this mod, by itself, doesn't do anything that would warrant it and the name alone wasn't enough for me to justify it.
There's a male only option. Some of us like to make skyrim more realistic and, let's face it, female warriors/amazons/etc. are a myth. Occasionally, women could have "fought" when there were too few men around and people were desperate enough, but that's it.
lol, "female/amazons/etc. are a myth"... and dragons, drauger, etc are what now? this is a fantasy game. nice try to rationalize your sexist beliefs with "facts". for that matter by the way - do some research there are instances of female warriors in various cultures through time, including of course modern warfare.
Skyrim is whatever I want it to be. In fact, I once modded all khajiit and argonians out of the game. Even fantasy has rules so that it's believable and grounded. In mine, women aren't men. Cry me a river SJW Never go to a biology class or that tiny bubble you live in will burst. Nature is sexist, women and men aren't the same and they were designed to do different things. Female warriors are mostly just fables and myths. Some women fought occasionally but that's it. And don't even bring up "modern warfare" unless you want me to point out that women need to be given special exams so they can enter or that mixed squads always perform much worse than male-only squads.
I don't know if you are joking or not, but I am going to assume you are, because if not, then my policy on disagreeable mods is usually: "you don't like it, you don't have to use it". I have been making mods for Skyrim for some time now, but only recently have I posted any of them. I am doing this not because I want them to be used, but because I want to use them and I want to offer them in case someone else does too. If not, that is perfectly fine.
Sorry if it seems like I am calling you out. But I just felt this was a good opportunity to make my opinion clear.
Funny you should call anyone a loser, jothardan. That's a nice mod you made there, turning F4 characters into what can only be described as underaged girls... "loli" is it? Now that's the sign of a real degenerate, if you ask me.
@Shadowcrafter17 please, if you say "let's face it", educate ypurself first, do your research. Amazons existed quite historically and very effectively as warriors. For example the Dahomey Amazons. A regiment for up to 2000 (?) women who upheld a kingdom for some decades idk. Look it up on Wikipedia. Also according to historical evidence they seem to have been quite effective against male armies. So what now? I guess "realistic" is up to what you choose to include in your assessment of reality. I choose the whole picture... hence also female warriors.
The beauty of modding is like you said, Skyrim can be whatever you want it to be and no one can stop you, so power to you.
At the same time though I disagree with bringing realism into high fantasy. No one is meant to be realistic in high fantasy, that's the point of the genre. From tales of a barbarian men cleaving hordes of orcs by himself, to knightly women battling evil dark lords. Never suppose to be taken seriously, it's suppose to inspire.. fantasy.
Sorry for the delayed response on this. I don't check messages too often. I don't see any conflicts with between my mod and Grounded Skyrim, but if you are using it, I would recommend sticking with it. It seems to touch all the areas mine does and with practically identical settings. Grounded Skyrim also covers some things that my mod currently does not. I may incorporate some of them in the future, but I don't intend to add an OBIS patch like it has.
Thanks you for pointing this mod out to me, though as I believe I can learn from it to help improve mine.
I get this feeling that the SJW's and misogynists will get into such a brawl over this that you might take it down out of disgust. Or, some "everybody has to be like me" douche bag will complain so loudly to Nexus that they will take it down. So I did a manual download just in case.
I haven't used it yet, but plan to soon, and I don't want to be denied by asshats.
If it gets taken down, fine. I have it saved elsewhere so no loss for me there. I don't plan to be checking comments enough for any complainers to bother me (as you can tell by the two days it took to see this and respond). As I said in one of my other posts: I made this for me to use, and posted it in case others want to as well. If they do, great. If they don't, fine. If they are offended they can leave or even block me and my feelings will not be hurt. I am normally a lurker anyway and I am only commenting here because I do feel a certain degree of ownership in a mod I posted. I wondered if the name I chose for this would cause some frowns at the very least. But once I came up with that name, I couldn't think of another that I liked better.
Glad you are willing to give this mod a shot yourself, though.
Just manual download and save it somewhere if its that important to you. I have a folder for mods I want to keep just in case they are ever taken down. problem solved.
It seems like Sons of Skyrim Only does some things that mine doesn't do. But Masculinized Level Lists seems to do the same thing that mine does. There are a few differences, mainly around the Dragonborn DLC cultists, but I don't know if it matters. They replaced the female option with a duplicate one of the males, where I just removed the female.
Thanks for showing me these, though. I didn't know that they existed. I mainly made this to make the NPCs all female, but I am glad to see that the male option I decided to make "just because" is being used as well.

TALK ABOUT ADDING FORCED POLITICS IN MY GAMES,SMH, SJW TRASH.
Obligatory clarification: This comment was a joke, I am not a misogynist...

Thanks for the mod, and your patience so far.

I've been using this, from Oldrim:
Masculinized Level Lists - https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/23115
and Sons of Skyrim Only - https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/38001
Can I use your Mod to replace it?
Thanks in advance.
