This really should be under "Immersion" not "Cheats and God items." Having to add ingots, leather strips, etc etc to upgrade weapons is absolutely ridiculous.
I thought that XP earned at the sharpening wheel was determined by the resources being used. If this mod removes the need to use resources then are you still able to gain XP when improving a weapon at the sharpening wheel? Thanks in advance.
You should still gain a small amount of xp sharpening weapons even without the resources. I'm not sure what determines the amount of xp you get. I would guess the xp would be the same with or without this mod but I don't know that for sure.
I'll have to test and I'll report back if I remember to. I just started a new playthrough though so the test will have to wait for the next game. If it turns out that XP isn't earned then I still think it's a fair trade off. Thanks for the response.
I'm not sure if I consider this a "cheat" or simply an immersion mod. There's nothing less immersive then adding material to a weapon using a grinding wheel.
Right? I was just gonna say that this is really an Immersion mod. Needing an ingot (or more) just to "sharpen" an item makes no sense. It'd probably be a Cheat mod if it did the same for armor.
Yeah I probably could have put it in the Immersion category. Maybe a truly immersive mod would require taking bows to a fletcher to get them tweaked or something as I don't really see how you could improve a bow with a sharpening wheel. Besides the immersion factor, one good thing I've found about this mod is that it makes grindstones around the world actually matter. I used to only ever use the one at my home but now I jump on one any time I visit a town and give all my newly found weapons a quick sharpen.
Been using this for a while now and I absolutely love it. Just wondering though if this is supposed to work for silver weapons as well? My game still requires silver ingots to sharpen silver weapons, and I'm not sure whether this is due to another mod overwrite or your mod doesn't edit silver weapons?
Hi mate, yeah all weapons are covered. As you said, one of your other mods must be overwriting those recipes. Just place this mod nearer to the bottom of your load order and it should solve the problem.
Thanks for this, it's a pet peeve of mine that you need an ingot and such for this. Also up there with why I have to make every armor/piece of weapon, why can't I pay a blacksmith to do it- that is literally their job lol.

Thank you :)
