In the Vanilla game, you buy Vigilance from Banning just outside of Markarth for 500 gold. If you release him from following you, he returns to Banning! You have to buy him again to get him to follow you again. In and of itself, this is unacceptable. He's your dog! Banning should return him to you!

But it gets worse. If Banning dies, you can never buy Vigilance again. And even worse, Banning is a worshipper of Namira. If you defy Namira in The Taste of Death, Banning ends up dead, which means Vigilance is essentially a prisoner of Namira. This is utterly appalling! Vigilance must be freed from Namira's cruel tyranny! 

Behold, for I present to you a rarefied solution to this exigent quandary: Vigilance Unbound, a mod that makes Vigilance free to follow you if you've already paid for him, or if Banning is dead.

I simply added copies of Meeko's dialogue and scripts to Vigilance conditioned on Banning's death or Vigilance having a high enough relationship with you. This prevents Vigilance from becoming permanently unavailable, and removes a disincentive for the player to make the correct choice in The Taste of Death.

Compatibility Notes

Tested with Nether's Follower Framework and Vigilance Reborn with no issues. I expect this should be compatible with other follower mods and other mods that alter Vigilance's appearance as well.
