Hey people! I have a strange bug where after installing this mod dogs would both make the vanilla bark sound and the wolfhound bark sound at the same time, the sounds being somewhat layered over each other. Happens both with the .esp- and loose-files-version. I have no other mod installed that changes sounds for dogs. Does anyone know a reason and/or fix for this?
I have the same issue. Do you have Audio Overhaul? Relationship Dialogue Overhaul? I don't know if it has anything to do it with, but just trying to grasp at straws.
This dog bark would be perfect... if not for the fact that you can hear other dogs faintly barking when it plays :( that's a dealbreaker for me, which sucks because this bark fits the dogs very well.
Dunno if it's what they're referring to, but in the video, at the beginning, I think you can indeed faintly hear a vanilla bark in addition to your custom sounds (I did have to really pay attention to hear that though, hadn't noticed at first). You didn't edit the distant bark sounds, so maybe they are what we've been hearing? Dragons have distant sounds too and they play both when a dragon is distant AND when it's close enough for its regular roars to play, in which case both sounds play simultanously. Maybe that's how distant bark sounds work too, and it's more noticeable now the dogs' normal bark sounds different (and waaay better!) than the vanilla distant sounds?
I found the issue with Audio Overhaul making some of the barks "vanilla". The mod adds additional .wav sound files that aren't present in vanilla.
You can see in this picture that Pierre's mod covers all the bark sounds, but Audio Overhaul adds a few more. The only way to fix it would be to replace the new sound with a copy of Pierre's bark sounds.
You don't need copies, just put the esp file before the Audio Overhaul. What would loot know this change Audio Overhaul metadata - three dots - edit metadata - load after - add Realistic Dog - save - sort plugins.
Honestly I hate the vanilla dog sounds and I use a combination of mods to keep them quiet but listening to the audio in your mod was amazing. I actually want to hear the vanilla dog bark again. Awesome!
I lost both my boys (from the same litter, REAL honest to goodness brothers) recently and this reminds me of how they sounded like. Thank you.

But I don't understand.
Do I have to install the Main first and then the Miscellaneous files?
Or just insalinate the Miscellaneous file?
