Forged Dragon Soul... 'Need to Know' Version: 2.0 Major Update - Changes ***Please Read***
1.a- Ability to acquire Dragon Soul Armor & Weapons is now tied to Vanilla main quest line and has new skillbook requirement for crafting menus to be available. *hint...Let Camilla Valerius be your guide
1.b- Theres now kind of a story for ehhh-mersion, and even a couple NPC's, but I doubt you'll be best friends!
1.c- Because of these updates, it's best to install this for a new game, but it will work on previous saves.
2. Added a Dragon death loot\crafting item, 'Molten Soulstone Ore', 1-to-1 conversion at smelter to create the 'Refined Soulstone' which is now required for forging many of the main pieces of the sets. The player is now required to slay at least 10 Dragons to craft the entire collection.
***I have gifted a few items alongside the Vanilla quest to get you started, but you will still need the required smithing, onehanded, two handed, and archery perks before you can create anything.
3. Adds an all new Armored Mage set, the 'Dragon Soul Moonlight Mage' Armor in Male and Female for all of you aspiring Wizards!
***Race Menu High-Heels required for the female mage boots to work properly***
4. Bodyslide Updates for all sets including Fixes, Boots, and Gauntlets.
5. Updated and improved FX textures (they are way better)!!!
6. Plugin is now ESPFE to save a slot in your load order.
7. BSA file format now available.
***Important*** Version 2.0 will work just fine on an existing save, but a clean save or fresh game is recommended as the item ref ID's have all changed. If you update from Version 1.0, all the previous pieces you have forged will disappear, the console will be your friend to get them back. You will still need to do the quest to find the Skillbook, as all recipes are now hidden from crafting menu without the book in your possession.

I am unhappy with the results of compressing to 2k, so Version 2.0 is 4k only!!! So if you need VRAM run the 4k textures through Cathedral or Ordinador for yourself, then the subpar quality is on you...not me!
I created a lot of this in Outfit Studio, I like Bodyslide and Outfit Studio, Ousnius and Caliente made CBBE, Bodyslide, and Outfit Studio. So they are 'CBBE'.
If someone wants to convert the female armors to other bodies and add them here to the optionals section, I'm all ears.
I really enjoyed making the Masks/Helmets, so I may be adding additional styles as optionals.
The 'Moonstone' arrows have a glow effect, glow tracers, and a visible "muzzle-flash enchant" when fired. Fire into a wooden object to shed a little light in dark areas.

Known Issues:
Some of the ground models do weird stuff (mostly the Hoods and Bows) so sell it, give it away, whatever...but drop at your own risk.

You have to have the preceding bow in your inventory for it to show up in the list. Have the standard, the MK1 will show up. Have the MK1, the MK2 will show up.
Yeah I figured that much out from when dragonslayer bow was a thing. I made the initial bow (Dragonslayer Ranger's Bow) Looked under every category and there was no MK1 only MK2. But the other bow had all 3. Standard, MK1 and MK2. And yes I had the book in my inventory, MM was maxed out. But still no bow.

Note for the Author: I'm kinda dumb sometimes and create new characters often, so I usually just sprint through Bleakfalls Barrow like a Skooma addicted moron. Totally missed the item, completed everything to do with Camilla (including marrying her) and took forever to find the damn thing. No fault of your own, but I kept googling to see if someone else posted where this was and found nothing, so I figured I'd drop this here.
So is that single book all I need to craft the armors? Or do I need to specifically, talk to gender, then balgruuf, finish the dragonstone quest or does it not matter? I'm asking cause there's literally no guides around on it
This conflicts with the Dragon's Blood mod which grants an item that increases your Health, Stamina, Magicka, or gives you a perk point when used that dragons drop when killed. Vortex doesn't tell you but, I noticed that none of the ten dragons I've killed dropped a single Soulstone. So you'll want to choose between this mod and that one (which sucks because I downloaded a mod that makes dragons harder to fight so as to make them be more like wandering bosses than a nuisance whenever your wandering Skyrim and I want to feel rewarded with both a Soulstone and a Perk or stat increase).
Sucks to hear. Shouldn't be hard to patch though, just a matter of adding the soulstone to that mods dragon death items list in sse edit. Anyone is free to release whatever patches they need.
i dont know much about modding but black soul gems only take human souls so you might be able to create a soul gem that similarly holds dragon souls or go the revese route and have the dragon soul "crystalize" when they are slain and make it a process where you have to consume the item to gain a knowledge dragon soul
Creating an entirely new 'DragonSoulGem' and adding it to dragons 'death items' and crafting requirements is a good idea. I like it...but not in the plans at the moment.
Similar Implementation, Dragon Soul and Dragon Breath Gases now carbonize on death, resulting in 'Molten Soulstone' Ore which can be refined at smelter". Done Version 2.0
Not sure if you were aware or not, but it seems like the sounds for some of the boots are off. The dark ranger boots are giving off a barefoot footstep sound for me.
That is sort of on purpose, they are the only boots with a full muffle enchant as the Ranger set. I added it for personal play and testing but forgot to take it out.
Absolutely, should have been included...my bad. I am compiling a list of things gor update including esl, bsa, fx fix, texture assignment, and will get those bodysludes in with the next update.
