About this mod

This mod adds a few new Master Level Spells to the game that is "master like",including Destruction, Restoration, Conjuration, Illusion and Alteration spells.

The idea of this mod begins when I struggled my way to to level 100 with a school of magic, and only end up finding the so-called "Master Level" spells completely useless.

What makes the matter worse is that, after thinking back on it, the Destruction spells I enjoyed using most were, very ironically, the first three spells  learned, namely Flames, Frostbite and Sparks. These spells were cast instantly and issued a continuous stream of magic that is somewhat "automatic", a luxury that swordsman and archer cannot enjoy.

So, after having my thought on master level destruction spells, it soon comes to me that I can expand this idea, making more master spells and it eventually become what you see here.

A brand new series of powerful and flexible master level spells, now ready at your choice.



What this mod does?

This mod adds new Master Level Spells to the game, including Destruction, Restoration, Conjuration, Illusion and Alteration spells.These spells are noticeably different from their original counterparts as to be able to cast with one hand only, will not be interrupted upon hit, and provides overall much greater capability.




1. New Master Destruction Spells


This mod adds three new Destruction spells to the game.

Fiendfire

  • Improved Wall of Flames.
  • Fully automatic, one-hand or dual casting.
  • Long range, medium DPS.
  • No friendly damage.

Devouring Wind


  • Spell version of Frost Breath.
  • Fully automatic, one-hand or dual casting.
  • Medium range (but wide attack area) , high DPS.
  • Freezes target solid like Ice Form.
  • No friendly damage.

Thunder Hell


  • Improved Chain Lightning.
  • Fully automatic, one-hand or dual casting.
  • Incredibly long range (easily catches dragons in the midair) , low DPS.
  • No friendly damage.




2. New Master Restoration Spell

This adds a new boosted healing spell to the game:

Grand Resurrection


  • Improved Grand Healing.
  • Charged cast, one-hand or dual casting.
  • Wide area, high healing power.
  • Effects both caster and friends in the area.



3. New Master Alteration Spells

This adds a new mage armor spell and illumination spell to the game:

MonarchRobe


  • Improved Dragonhide.
  • Charged cast, one-hand or dual casting.
  • Long duration.
  • Resists both physical and magical damage.
  • Provides waterbreathe.

Monarch Candlelight


  • Improved Candlelight.
  • Charged cast, one-hand or dual casting.
  • Incredibly Long duration.


4. New Master Illusion Spell

This adds two new illusion spells to the game:

Shadow Monarch

  • Improved Invisibility.
  • Charged cast, one-hand or dual casting.
  • Long duration.
  • Suppresses footstep like Muffle.
  • WILL NOT  break even when activating an object or attacking. Breaks as normal invisibility spell, see update log for details.


Sight of Domination

  • A scout spell mixed using Clairvoyance and Detect All Creatures.
  • Fully automatic, one-hand or dual casting.
  • Provieds night vision.
  • Detects any creature, friend or enemy alike, even dwarven automatons cannot escape its sight.




5. New Master Conjuration Spell

This adds a new conjuration spell to the game:

Conjure Dwarven Sphere

  • Reused Conjure Dwarven Sphere, a cut content from vanilla game.
  • Charged cast, one-hand or dual casting.
  • General conjuration duration (60s) unlike other master conjuration spells.
  • Much more powerful than the original Dwarven Sphere summoned via Aetherial Staff, armed with a powerful sword and an explosive crossbow.
  • High damage resistance and capable of Water walking.
  • Levels up with player. Benefits from Elemental Potency perk (increases level from 1.0x to 1.5x player level).



How to get the new spells?

The Greybeards have been long guarding the secret power of these mighty spells since their ancient true master, the DragonMonarch, creates them away from the grasp of unwanted guests, especially the greedy Hermaeus Mora.
The spell tomes of these masterpieces are not for sell or drop, you may only acquire them from a Container located in the mass hall in High Hrothgar. You must also prove yourself worthy by unlocking the box's master level lock.

Like vanilla master level spells, you can technically cast them upon learning, regardless of current magic level provided you have enough magicka.
Plus, if you accidentally lost the books or spells, simply reinstall the mod to find them again in the same box.



Compatibility

This standalone mod just adds a new spells to the game, so it should be compatible with literally any other mod.
Feel free to report to me if any mod confliction occurs of course.

  • Fix the bug that casting MonarchRobe using right hand will have animation error.
  • MonarchRobe now provides waterbreathe as well.
  • Add a new spell named Sight of Domination.
  • Replace the container to fit in surroundings better.

1.03

  • Replace conjure dragon priest with conjure dwarven sphere spell. The dwarven sphere, despite its tiny appearance, proves to be even more deadly than a dragon priest in field test. Version 1.02 is reserved in case you prefer the dragon priest.
1.04

  • Fix a bug that will cause conjure dwarven sphere to be absorbed should the player have any magic absorb effect. Similar bug exists in all vanilla conjuration spells.
  • Shadow Monarch now breaks as normal invisibility spell if the player activates or attacks. Making an invisibility effect lasting after attacking inevitably demands scripts, which, due to the save file system of skyrim, cannot be cleanly removed once loaded in game. To keep the mod clean and easy to use, this feature is removed and will be reconsidered in future update.
