this seems to need a mesh fix. I did some quick research and apparently the BSInvMarker node needs to be edited in Nifscope. I experimented by deleting this node in the mesh file, thus allowing the game to load default values, but sadly this didnt fix it... The shield is displayed from its side in the inventory, and so doesnt block the item description anymore (but its not ideal, because you can't see the design of the shield front). Also, when I go to rotate it in menu, the shield rotation is wonky, because its not rotating from its center, but rather from the bottom of the shield.
anyways, long story short, yes, the inventory models need adjustment. for now, you can just use your mouse and rotate the shield away from the inventory card. not ideal, but not important enough to not have these beautiful shields in my game!
had glowing Iron Ore vein with your awesome mod. had to ressort changing the iron ore cubemap with a different to get it working.... i get a redish reflection now and not entirely sure whats causing it(except the obvious...) xD but at least its half working.. load order change didnt do anything... also i dont have anything that messes with iron ore/veins/ingot colors.
edit: ok i think i got it, its the dynamicCubemaps from enb making the ore veins glow. cause i downloaded a different mod "dynamic cubemaps for enb and got the glow back again only it was less intense. (problem is that all of your shiels lost their colors but are shiny shiny ++ xD)
Those shields are not just beautiful mut magnificent! but i don't know if they fill the aesthetic of the game, if it's lore friendly enough...but truly such an amazing shields collection of mod.
Hello, sorry to bother you, I have created a "Shields on Back" mod specifically for xBox called "Just Shields (on Back), and I wanted to know if it would be any chance for me to be granted permissions to port this mod and make the necessary modifications for it to work with Just Shields (on Back). As per Bethesda net new TOS only public posts (like this message) are acceptable as permissions, and not PMs anymore.
I also posted this same message in Legendary Alpha Shields 2, as Bethesda net requires the permissions granted to be in each specific mod, so sorry for the spam :(
Even tho you borrowed the ideas without even giving credit to the actual artists, Im gonna give you an incompatibility.
Awesome Potions Simplified v2.1 for some reason needs to be loaded before or after in Vortex, and I have no reasoning as to why this is a thing? How is potions and shields connected again?
There's no clause on the licensing for the shields he took this from that suggests he did anything wrong legally and if the original artists didn't want it used for mods or wanted credit they could've uploaded it elsewhere / used a license that strictly required crediting.
As for the incompatibility it's probably a cubemap and nothing particularly worrying.
I get it, but it covers him legally if they do ask him/her about them, or ask him/her to take them down some day. Id rather give credit to the creator of the art work, give them attention for their work, while utilizing their work in game. Its just a win/win.. But I digress.
I havnt seen anything in game to suggest potions have been placed as shields, or vice versa yet, so maybe nothing has happened... Its just a weird bug that glitches with a completely different mod type.. it was just strange.
Really love these shields but I can't use them because they're all heavy and I'm using burdens of skyrim so I won't be able to equip them until I have better options. Big bummer! would love some light and/or buckler versions.
Ran into a similar issue with another armor mod that I was running. For some reason the author thought everything in the mod needed to be set to a weight of 40.
You can adjust the item's weight and type by editing the record in SSEEdit. Just load your plugins and after everything is loaded search for "Legendary Alpha Sheilds.eps" on your plugin list to the left of the screen. Expand it and you should see an option called "Armor", expand that and you should see a list of the FormIDs that make up the actual items in game. By clicking on one you should see a bunch of info in the table on your right pane. Scroll to the bottom and start looking for "Armor Type" in the left column, if you click on the drop down you should be able to change it to light armor. There is also an near the very bottom under Data titled "Weight" with a numeric value, if you change this value, it should change the weight shown in game.
