I actually really enjoyed this dungeon, despite its bugs, I loved the layout. Definitely looking forward to running through it again in the future, once it's had a bug fix or two. I noticed two things, which I don't see mentioned already:
- I had to tcl into the last room, because I couldn't find the claw, and the writing on the word wall was all double, some of it hanging in the air - Funnily, after installing this, the chest at Hamvir's Rest is now called Torskar's Chest for some reason? Lol
Anyway, great job, keep it up!
Edit: Worth noting I just noticed you uploaded a version after the one I downloaded (yes, I was super fast), so Idk if that makes a difference.
Thank you so much! Im glad you enjoyed it! :D Its odd the claw wasnt there.. Its possible that maybe the dragon flew out of his boss room and knocked it over or somethin...(Still gotta figure out a fix for that blasted lizard xD) As for the chests? yeah, I ran into one as well xD I gotta fix that. Its been pointed out to me that its best to create copies of objects with new IDs soo Will def. do that in the future
That's very possible! The dragon was (sort of) in the room with the forge, although as some have mentioned, it seemed to be above the cell, with its hitbox in the cell, so still defeatable, just... could only really see the wings and feet poking through the ceiling haha. Is it possible maybe he needs more (a bigger) room? :)
Pretty vague description. Perhaps some screen shots or a video highlighting some of the dungeon. Or, just a longer description describing what specifically is special about this mod.
Very cool! I'm actually piecing through this in Creation Kit to see how you've put it together. I haven't gone through the whole thing yet, but I just wanted to comment and give you kudos. The planning and attention to subtle storytelling/player guidance is really apparent. :) Lots of creative ideas and I can definitely see many principles of great level design shining through. And for a first mod? You have talent! Well done!
Hey! Sweet! do let me know what you find in creation kit. I bet theres hundreds of things I overlooked. And thank you so much! :D yall are so kind :D It was a bunch of fun to make this, and its definitely not my last one :D
Tested it out and went through to the end, I do love the dungeon and I'm sure could be a very good dungeon mod if you decide to keep working on it, I'm unsure if you were already aware of these bugs but the ones I encountered were the dragon appearing atop the cell but his hitbox still inside it's room, the draugr that were supposed to be in their sarcophagi were standing outside of them and when attacked is when the sarcophagi would fall, thirdly the skeletons were neutral and wouldn't attack unless attacked, again I'm unsure if you know about these bugs or not I know you stated there would be some bugs in the description but just incase you experienced different ones than I, I hope your university class goes well and you get a good mark from this!
Yes, there is a ton of bugs, which are quite immersion breaking. Still it has potential but i more likely consider this a "work in progress" in the state that it is now!
Also the big mountainside, which is flying above the entrance is a big visual problem and instantly breaks immersion, when arriving at the tomb.
As the very first mod for skyrim, as it appears to be, i would highly recommend watching a tutorial that gives you some insight on how to use light to enhance the atmosphere in the dungeon, which is completly lacking at the moment. Also some of the assets that were used, weren't fitting and looked very out of place!
In terms of tutorials Darkfox127 is quite a staple of the community, so here is one of his ligthing tutorials, i'd recommend:
On the other hand, you made some good design choises here and there, like the pillar, that damaged the wall in the past and still was resting in this position in pieces!
You already said in the description, that it is kinda broken, so i could expect this to happen like it appeared to be, but if you give it some work it could probably turn out way better and could actualy be a fun experiance, which it wasn't quite yet, if i am real honest!
Nevertheless, my starting dungeon wasn't any better and even lacked a navmesh, which i discovered later by commentary of other people!
So there is light at the end of the tunnel, keep going!
Sweet! Thanks for the input! And yeah those are the same bugs I encountered. Im really not sure what is going on with those skeletons and draugr, It worked fine when I COC into the cell from the menu. As for the dragon, I still gotta figure out a better way to keep him in his boss room. Right now its setup with a DLC2TameDragonNofly ability and it soooorta works like 30% of the time xD. And thank you for the good wishes! :D Might keep workin on it as I learn more
