Is there any way to make the Blessed weapon, not a deadric battleaxe? I tried changing meshes and everything but hen when it's sheathed the weapon doesnt disappear so I'm at a loss. Doesn't feel rigt that the paladin summoned a daedric weapon even if its "blessed" you know?
If you are going to do a mod that improves Paladin spells it would be nice for you to improve more than just one spell in the group. There are a lot of problems with the Paladin set of spells. My biggest problem with it is Holy Bolt. You cannot use buffs that make Restoration spells stronger on Holy Bolt. It's forever capped at 80, which makes it useless at higher levels. It's my favorite spells as a Paladin of Meridia. I don't use Hammer of Justice because I use Dawnbreaker. Holy Bolt is the only spell that brings me more immersion playing as the Champion of Meridia. Since you can't continue to make the spell more powerful, it becomes a hinderance. I would LOVE if someone would fix this. Also, we REALLY need better/more rings for Paladin. I want a ring that works with Holy Bolt and makes it stronger somehow. The two rings that are available do nothing for my character at all.
If you're interesting in improving your improvement, (or anyone else who is interested) message me. I'd be delighted to lend my time!
Something I always thought would be a good idea, but was always a bit too lazy to do myself, was to make the Hammer of Justice spell a restoration spell instead of Conjuration. Conjuration magic tends to be associated with evil in Skyrim, and leveling it too high will cause NPCs to make comments about it. That tends to be unimmersive if you're roleplaying as a paladin-esque character.
I considered that the reason I ultimately decided against it is that I consider the conjuration bound weapon perks crucial in the gameplay of the holy mace and reclassifying the spell to restoration would not give my paladin a way to level conjuration. He would certainly not start spawning Daedra or raise the undead just to level conjuration...
But if you want to reclassify it you can just open up the file in tes5edit. It's a one minute tweak.
Thanks to both of you. Sekhment, awesome mod, didn't even know about True Bound Weapons before this. Thanks to you Khrysamere for the restoration idea.
I play with Limited Perk Trees Mod, so I didn't want to go any into conjuration (for RP as well) on my paladin. Thanks to this prompt I've not only changed the school, but all the perks to align with restoration perks in the Vokriinator tree. Now my paladin can just level Restoration without gimping his Hammer (and Blessed weapon too).
