It might be the credits txt?? I used proprietary filepaths for all of the loose files for the replacer so it wouldn't interact with anything, the only things that would have a common filepath would be Lucien's facegen and the credits text file.
I'm so glad this is here. No criticism on the others, but for my personal subjective tastes, this is the only one that checks my boxes. I wanted to get rid of the vanilla skyrim playdough hair without glamourizing the character a bunch, and this was perfect.
Forgive me for being a possible dummy, but I haven't been able to get any hairs to work right for him..? He looks amazing in the pictures you posted and I'm trying to get him close to it, but- I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong
I love what you’ve done to him, great job, thank you for the overhaul. I wanted to ask if you’d be open to provide the necessary plugin and files for facegen regeneration, please.
I like to regenerate facegen so all my characters are most consistent.
Hi there, none of the assets used for face generation were created by me so I can't redistribute them. If you install the mods listed in the credits section, you'll be able to use them to create new character faces.
Heya ! Thank you for your reply. Fetching the assets from the credits won’t be a problem for me. But would it be possible to only get your plugin with the edited face values, please ? The one in the mod archive has almost all the same value as the original Lucien’s face, so when I re-generate he don’t look as good as yours.
aaahh, the face has custom hand sculpting done with racemenu's sculpt feature so there's no way for me to provide a plugin with edited face values. If you want him to keep the same face shape, you'll need to edit the facegeom mesh unfortunately. there might be some way to use the head nif as a reference to conform a new head mesh to in outfitstudio but im not sure how to do it off the top of my head. You could also import the head mesh in racemenu sculpt window to edit it?
Oh, I didn’t think about that ! Welp, your mod is already great quality anyway so it’s not a matter, thank you for the detailed reply amd explanation and thanks again for the great mji !
Is this compatible with SUEMR meshes? Just seems to be missing that eye twinkle that my other NPCs have. A little dead eyed. Other than that, this is my go-to for Lucien.
SUEMR meshes only affect the player character or actor facegen made specifically with SUEMR meshes, so it would have to be regenerated for SUEMR support. I can take a look at the meshes and see what exactly SUEMR changes with env mapping, which is probably whatever makes SUEMR meshes look twinklier.
He looks fantastic, especially the second option -- so very much like Lucien, just higher quality! -- but I admit I have quickly come to miss the sort of perpetual hint of a dorky smile that the original had. Any chance of an Option Three that's a bit less serious? Or even that you'd be willing to share a list of what bits you used to make him so I can try and tweak him a bit for myself?
UPDATE: Never mind! When I stopped being a dummy and looked at the whole item entry in SSEEdit instead of just its name, I found the original hair's name really easy lol. Now I've got my own little vanilla-but-better replacer for him and it's all due to your fine work, thank you!
Just wanted to let you know, it doesn't seem like the download contains all the necessary files. The hair meshes are both missing. Any chance of a reupload? :)
If you're talking about the individual hair meshes (chainreaction.nif, chainreactionHL.nif, etc etc), those are not required and were intentionally not included. The individual hairstyle meshes / tris / etc aren't used for replacers because the mesh data is included in the exported facegeom. You'd only need the actual separate hair meshes / tris / etc if you were planning on reexporting facegen. This mod was tested with only Lucien on a vanilla profile and should work as intended. If you've got other concerns though, please let me know!
Ohhh, I didn't know that! I just saw there weren't hair meshes and assumed, sorry. Learn something new everyday. Thank you! This is the best Lucien out there imo

Really good job again! Unfortunately, my lighting does not favour him and his eyes are almost transparent. Tried a couple of ENB.
