Thank you for making this and allowing us to again play the game how we like. I really hate how the unofficial patch dictates to us how we have to play the game, and worse, how everyone fawns all over the guy for making it and requiring USLEEP in their mods, even if it's totally unnecessary.

Exactly. Unofficial Patch “fixes” a lot of things that were intentional.

Could you please do another one to revert certain changes to Alchemy?(like for example Salmon Roe) I don't like how they limited the potions, they already had a limit. Which was when you'd maxed out what you could(59% 67%ish+ if you abused the falmer mask thing). I never got to see what level it would get to if you used the Azhidal set I believe. Which was disappointing.

Anyhow, I'd be happy with just the Salmon Roe recipie, and the enchanting potion limit(I don't need the resto thing tho, that can still be done, and is truly game breaking).

Well it would be quite easy, but I don't have any plans to do so, this is in fact really easy to make with the creation kit. If you scroll down to the first comment I made here I explained exactly how I did it so you can do it yourself. You should be able to figure it out in like 5 minutes :P

Thanks for making this mod. I just wish mods like this were not necessary. The Unofficial Patch should stick to just bugs.

Thank's. Some of the things that the unofficial patch changes we really can't know whether they were meant to be that way. Rewards are usually underwhelming enough, why reduce their worth further.

Agreed. It feels like a lot of 'opinion' is being injected into the unofficial patch. The Notched Pickaxe 'fix' is another one that is highly debatable. The bug was that dual wielding with it messed up the game, so they just gutted the enchantment on top of removing the ability to dual wield it? That doesn't make sense.

Could you update the description to be specific to the changes that you put in, to undo the patch...

"The game had a resist magic effect of __% and the unofficial patch changed it to ___%, This mod sets it back to the ___%"

I believe it has to do with the fact the game labeled them as two different magic resists, not the actual values.
This is what the unofficial patch fixes. That's what this mod unfixes.

It is exactly as AntiSkillshot said.

The resistance % is completely unchanged in the unofficial patch. The shield originally had a higher power magic resistance base enchantment.

It's a different resist magic effect, not the same as on all other items thus it can be uniquely disenchanted. This is how it was in the original game, the unofficial patch made it so that the resist magic effect on the shield is the same as on every other item and rebalanced the numbers on it so that the amount of resistance given would still remain the same.

I've tried updating the description to further clarify this.

How did you edit the Unofficial patch? If I try to load it in the creation kit with Data -> click USPatch's box I get a "bla bla multiple master files failed to load".

It's quite simple really, I loaded up the original skyrim.esm, found the enchantment effects for the shield in the editor, open them, save them (so they get marked with a * symbol, this means that your esp will edit these items) save the esp, load it after the unofficial patch and all done.

The fixes to revert the fortify restoration exploit fix and the necromage fix can be done in a similar way as well, you just need to know what property you need to edit.

Basically what this does is that when the ESP is loaded it will make the properties of the shields enchantments the way they were in the original skyrim.esm (since I didn't actually make any changes to it per se).

The reason for your error is because you haven't enabled the loading of multiple files in the creation kit which requires an ini setting (google it, I'm not gonna teach you how to use the creation kit lol)

An unofficial patch to revert an unofficial patch? Yo dawg, I heard you like shields so I patched your patch so you're shielded from the shield patch.
