About this mod

Just a short guide on how to get SkyTweak to work with SE.

Permissions and credits
First, a disclaimer: This is not a mod, just a simple guide on getting GrimyBunyip's great Oldrim mod SkyTweak to work in SE.
There seems to be a little confusion about this, so I decided to make this guide. It's really very easy.
As far as I can tell, all features seem to be working (with a possible exception - see below).

If you are not familiar with SkyTweak - shame on you ;)
As the name suggests, it allows you to tweak an enormous amount of game settings on the fly, and offers a number of solid (optional) scripts to boot. Therefore, this single mod can do what a dozen other mods do combined. See the original mod page for details.

My personal highlight has always been the bleedout script - if you enable it, you can set a number of "lives" (optionally a gold penalty for each life). After reaching 0 hp, you enter a bleedout state, and after a short while, you get up and can continue to fight - works extremely well alongside combat mods such as Wildcat that have a punishing wound system.

1. Get the original LE mod SkyTweak by GrimyBunyip  form here. You can simply ignore the requirement for Grimy's plugin (it will not work with SKSE64), but you will need SkyUI and SKSE64 for SE. Instead of using FISS, we will have to download FISSES (Step 2)
2. Get the FISSES SKSE-plugin from its mod site here.
3. Install SkyTweak normally via MO/NMM.
4. Go to the mod directory and locate SkyTweak.bsa in the mod's directory. Unpack the bsa with an appropriate tool. I use BAE (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/974).
5. After unpacking the bsa, you should have two directories in the mod: interface and scripts
6. Delete the .bsa.
7. Ignore MO whining about the esp being a form 43 plugin. My SE load order contains a dozen of form 43 plugins, and I have yet to come across any problems. If it bothers you, open the .esp in CK and re-save it to update it. Should not be neccesary, though.
8. Enjoy.

Note:
In my understanding, the mod needs Grimy Plugin mainly to fiddle with torch settings and facilitate faster MCM loading/updating. I have used almost all of what SkyTweak has to offer (including most scripts!) in SE without Grimy Plugin, without any problems.
