I just ported this for fun, but if people are actually into it then I'll go ahead and make some improvements, patches, etc. Or if anyone has their own versions or patches, let me know! Probably needs re-balancing, especially for longer playthroughs, but a lot of folks were having fun with it in oldrim, so here you go.
Added patch for Imperious to optional files (fixed the esm flag so it's good to go now)
I'm a big fan of this mod and the concept behind it. I always thought Argonians in vanilla felt more like reskins of the human characters and to see ways that they can be closer to reptiles in playstyle makes the game so much better. My only suggestions for ideas to add would be to let argonians swim faster and/or attack underwater, let Argonians turn carnivorous and eat meat off of corpses, and to balance Argonians have a default less resilience to cold. Also this mod pairs well with any mod that lets you climb, I might add. I know this is a port and you may not take suggestions and that's okay! Thank you again for a great addition to my modlist!
You'll need to load them in this order: Argonian Upgrades first -> then Imperious -> then the Patch This is only if you use Imperious, of course. If you don't use that, then you don't need the patch.
Mo2 sorry haha so im having the same cycling problem when i run loot, it doesnt seem to matter what order the plugins are in, can you give a more detailed description on loading the files in the correct order? Like is there a certain way to do it that im missing? Thanks mod sounds awesome cant wait to use it!
I've never used MO2, but my understanding is that what's on the left side has no effect on the load order. It's only what you do on the right side that is the actual load order. Regarding LOOT, you may have to manually tell it where to load. Do that by double-clicking on the file in LOOT (left pane) and it will open a new pane on the right at the bottom, as shown in this screenshot. Click the "Load After" tab, then click "Add New Row". The row will highlight in red. This is where you will type Imperious. When you start typing it will show up in a drop down list and you can select it. Lastly, click the Save icon in LOOT. There should now be a little profile icon to indicate you've made this rule.
I downloaded loot and tried setting the rules but same issue happened. Also when i downloaded loot the sort plugins button in mo2 stopped working so i basically had to update mo2 and delete loot to get it to work again, should loot go into a separate folder than the loot included in mod tools from mo2?
Update* i fixed loot, now im just running into the cycling issue still where i set the patch after imperious
YES! Love it! We need more beast race mods! Especially ports of some of the best from LE. I've been porting a lot of Khajiit stuff but definitely not enough for argonians. Keep up the good work. We all appreciate it! Adding you to the guide: Katie's Beast Race Aesthetics Compendium! :)
Aw, thank you so much! I also think Bosmer should be folded into the beast races, considering some of the lore about them shapeshifting for the wild hunt. We'll see if I ever get around to doing anything about that. :P
I've added a patch to the files section for Imperious. Just be sure to use the correct load order: Argonian Upgrades first -> then Imperious overwrites it -> then the Patch at the bottom.
Always good to see some love for Argonians! Not a criticism, just an observation - the description for Heat Vision has "prey" misspelled as "pray". Whereas the "prey" is the correct noun in this context and "pray" is a verb, like praying to a deity. Simple mistake, especially for those who's first language isn't English. Just thought I would let you know!

Wouldn't that be the issue and not the load order?
