About this mod

This is the same as the one created by wankingSkeever (wSkeever) with only editing to count Legendary Skills and correcting the character level, check out his original here:

Permissions and credits
The point of this mod is to focus on Legendary skills, note: I have also added saving progress for skills and player as it will get annoying in very high levels

This mod is (more or less) merged with Ethereal Incarnation - Player Data Transfer, however feel free to use this mod for fewer features and just a new game plus experience and don't want to use ConsoleUtil, or if you're having trouble using the skill function (either incorrect loading or anything else) you can use this mod still.

Quoting from the original mod

  • ESL-flagged plugin (does not count towards base plugin limit)
  • Controlled via SkyUI mod configuration menu
  • 1 button to save
  • 1 button to load
  • Can only save if your character is higher than level 1
  • Can only load if your character is level 1
  • Cannot load twice on the same character
  • Perk points and levels will come from skill levels if you are playing vanilla style leveling
  • Legendary skill levels are ignored; they won't contribute to your perks and level

  • The level is saved as well, and the mod makes sure you will get your correct saved level
  • Legendary skills are counted and saved
  • Perks are saved
  • Skill progress is saved
  • Level progress is saved

Q and A
Q: Why not pass items?
A: Passing items to a new game has the potential to break quests. It is also way more difficult when you have to account for player created items.
If you want to pass items along between characters, you can use a mod such as Extra Dimensional Storage. (And this mod: Ethereal Incarnation - Player Data Transfer)

Q: Is this compatible with mods that add more perks or give more perks per level?
A: Yes. Unless your perk mod doesn't use skill levels to level and give you perks via leveling, then I don't see why not. This mod saves skill levels. As long as you don't legendary your skills, you should get the same number of levels and associated perk points awarded by those skill levels. When you load the skills, your character basically gain skill levels the normal way.

Q: Does this mod count extra perks I got from a modded mechanism such as dragon souls for perk points?
A: No. It is very difficult to count spent perk points, especially if you are using mods that add more perks. We only count skill levels, not perks points.

Q: Does this mod count extra perks I got from a modded mechanism such as dragon souls for perk points?
A: Yes. the mod saves all perks you have, spent or not, even if it's spent on custom skill trees from mods.

Q: This mod compatible with the original?
A: Probably not, but you're free to try, they're mostly the same file so very likely to find compatibility issues, but you'll be able to differentiate between the two in SkyUI MCM. If not I can add a version that changes the name on the MCM menu.

Q: Will this mod have spells/shouts transfer?
A: Probably not, at least I don't intend to have it do so, the intention behind this mod is to edit the original to be compatible with legendary skills. However, if you still want shouts and spells to be transferred (or even your inventory/container) check this mod out:  Ethereal Incarnation - Player Data Transfer

Known Issue:
- If you have consoleutil installed and the mod uses it, it might not load the skill progress correctly, very minor and shouldn't really affect anything else. Don't know if I'll fix it since Ethereal Incarnation uses ConsoleUtil either way.
