I'm glad I found this mod. Though I ended up finding the one I use to use on regular Skyrim for SSE/AE, called Dimes Quickstart. That one addresses the issues with using MQquickstart alone.
I don't know if you care, but this mod would be better if you address those issues as well.
I know this is just a mod using a console command, but by using the MQquickstart alone; it leaves Helgan untouched. Meaning it is not burned down and all the NPC are still standing around in there from the carriage ride intro. There is also a bug where if choosing Stormcloaks, Alduin doesn't spawn and fly overhead when you exit the cave, leaving Ralof in his crouching position at the rock.
I hope you address those issues and update this mod. Or don't... since there is already one that does it. Up to you. :)
Omg THIS! I've been looking for this mod... for like only 20 minutes, but YAY!!! Found it. I'm so sick of Alternate Start and all of it's options that I don't care about. Couldn't remember if this was a command console or a mod (I guess I could have just checked through all the commands).
Anyway, I'm glad I found this command/mod. I just want to make my player and GO! None of that Alternate Start crap anymore. I know it's only choosing a start, but I still rather skip that too XD.
This mod is a game setting made by Bethesda, when you exit the cave you complete the Unbound Quest. Bethesda made this Quick Start and the Game is not broken.
So this is basically "vanilla start short version"? Helgen is destroyed by Alduin and we play the game as "dovahkin to be"? Helgen Reborn will play nicely with this I assume. No need for other mods to be patched for this as this is basically vanilla... It May come in handy, will test it next time. Do we build our character looks at the cave exit? Or does one need to use a console command? Sadly in Skyrim, there are no multiple "points of choice" as it was in Oblivion.
Aside from the pop-up option upon starting a new game being removed and the equipment being added, this seems like a straight re-upload of TDG's Skippable Intro Tutorial with no credit given. Even has the same bugs, including the Alduin flyby failing to initiate if you've chosen the Stormcloak route.
To let you know this is not really a mod, I just set the game to the Helgen cave exit quick start. There are 5 Quick Starts in the Skyrim Game Files. You can use the Console command " set MQquickstart to 3 " to start in the Helgen Cave Exit and the console command " set MQquickstart to 4 " to start a new game in the Helgen Keep. I made the same mod for Skyrim about 8 years ago for Skyrim, I have never even seen or used TDG's Skippable Intro Tutorial I discovered the game setting without any knowledge of that mod.
Hello Thank for your mod just that there is no dragon in the sky that goes away and ralof does not come down it stays near the rock? this with no mod (game base) a correction ?

A cleaner solution than starting from a saved game loaded on the nexus which will pose a risk to the stability of the game. A simpler solution than the Alternate Starter Mods that break the thread of Vanillla quests
Edit : i test .... big problem Helgen is not destroy .... and seem some first Vanilla quests are broken --> unbound main quest for example which does not start the associated quest chain
