Huge shoutout to the Haven Bag by Haishao, which just got a Skyrim Special Edition update. It was a huge inspiration for this mod, and if you're looking for a portable home with a more cozy feel you should totally check it out.
Also, Parpaing has made an Enhanced Edition of the cube. It adds a second level, some mannequins and weapon racks, and gives it a more 'lived in' feel. I have to say, it looks beautiful.
Oh hey, another version, this time by SirGrimeszy. I love seeing people take my simple layout and add their own flair to it.
I've used this mod in the past (and enjoyed it). I recently reinstalled it, and I can find the cube no problem. However, when it's in my inventory and I click on it nothing happens. It's basically a nice looking Dwemer paperweight. Anyone experienced anything like this?
Don't know if this helps (the mod works for me) - Was having issues bringing up the id# with the "help" command. Only thing that worked was typing "help cube 4" (without the quotes of course).
This finally brought up an entry for "A Dwemer Storage Cube" under misc, and it had a valid id I could spawn in with the "player.additem" command. Just putting this here for anybody perplexed reading through the comments because the suggested "help" command was not working, or at least not for me.
PS. there are a few other misleading entries (Dwemer puzzle cube, Cube storage, etc), make sure you have the right id#
This is by far my favorite Skyrim home, and I keep going back to it playthrough after playthrough. The simplicity of it beats out all the other complicated versions of it, and everything else really.
I did notice something just now, though. When I use the "pre-filled" version and put gear from it that I upgraded at enchanter or at smith, and put them in the vaults the improvements disappear and the gear becomes plain again. So weird!
I’ve been screwing around with SSE mods on the SE version of Enderal seeing as they’re both running the same exact engine. I was wondering if anyone knows if the pre-stocked version will work on Enderal.
People tend to overlook the value of simplicity. This is the perfect storage/crafting space on its own, not to mention that it's portable. I do all my crafting in the cube now.
This really. The other two mods that copied this one don't get it. Separating the crafting stations -- and worse one of them didn't put any storage next to the crafting stations! -- is a huge mistake. A house like this thrives on simplicity, and clean layout. The other two try to make it artsy (same problem with the other similar mods like Kagrenac's Refuge and Staff of Shalidor) but they all look cluttered and are an eyesore.
This one is still the best of them all, even though it's missing a few things like an oven and a staff enchanter.
The only thing I'd like to see improved with this mod are those two missing crafting stations (no biggie) and maybe an option for scripted crafting mats going in and out of your storage for convenience in brewing potions like in Skyfall Estate, or even just a simple "dump all alchemy ingredients into container" script.
Having a second floor isn't a bad idea but not when you put the crafting stations up there and the storage at the bottom.

I spawned all 4 items that "help" shows with that name and it just isn't working when clicked.

Such a great mod balancing between function and simplicity.
