Decided I would like to redo my entire lighting system. Cleared everything out, uninstalled all ENB components, lighting, reshader and weather.
Then started working through installation of
Haze Weather & Seasons Atmosphere 2
Lux + requirements (ELFX added textures with esp removed)
    ENB
ENB Light (inc required mods listed in the comments that were not put in the requirement tab)
Skyrim SE Particle Patch for ENB
    ENB Helper
    Haze Weather 2 Realistic ENB

Started new game using Live Another Life so appeared in the jail cell.

Almost total blackout - the torch and candles are only self illuminating - no actually lighting the room at all - I like dungeons dark - but not when they have torches and candles lit - and the brazier in front of the Mara statue as well. Looking at the default ENB settings - the indoor ambient light settings are at 0.2 - the last ENB system I used they were 1.00. Shifting them up to 1.0 still dark - Boosted the indoor lighting to maximum in the Haze weathers MCM - still dark. Boosted some of the fire settings and got a little more light from the torches and candles, but it doesn't seem right that adjusting things this far from default should be necessary. Used additemmenu to get myself a magic light source and it is dim and pretty much useless - perhaps 1 - 2 metres dim illumination. I'm surprised that the in game (Skyrim settings menu) brightness etc sliders still work - never had that still operational with an ENB before.

    Any ideas?

Edit - Started the Game in an inn (Morthal) - the lighting in the inn is really odd - 11.00am, bright beams of sunlight lighting the floor really washed out white, but the immediately adjacent floor and room is dark. The fire itself is really bright - so bright as to lose flame detail, but is throwing only a little dark red light, so the inn patrons, furniture etc are lit with a dim red light. The corners of the room are so dark you need a torch to see anything at all. I see in the Weather mod you say to "crank up" brightness if using Lux and ENB - but maximum on everything and some things glary while others blacked out. Going to try alternate light mod.

Edit 2 - Completely reinstalled enb to make sure I didn't get any settings passed on. Removed Lux, went back to Luminosity + Relighting Skyrim + Windows Shadows - and - just wow! - this blows anything I've seen before away! About the only issue is the fires being overbright - might have to think about removing EmbersXD as I see you mentioned glare. Haven't put the torch fix on yet, but that's not going to affect open fires.

Managed to get the fires etc fixed, and introduced Haze Lights - but couldn't use the shadows version as I kept getting ctds.
A newly identified issue - my previously pale redguards are now dark, and my previously dark skinned followers and npcs are now no-detail black, even when I use a light source nearby. All I can find about this when I search ENB and skin tone are vague references about subsurface scattering - no specifics though.

Another issue discovered - characters with glowing runes/tattoos, or other glowing body parts (I have a succubus follower with glowing wings), and one with glowing hair - the intensity is super high - the wings light up like headlights, but red, complete with bloom and rays.
I've been through all the settings I con think of and only bloom reduces the - well bloom - a bit. Can't find anything in particle/complex particle that affects it.

I'd say you better try to use Vulturian Shades instead!

Thx for reply - found the glow issue is to do with mod authors designing mods without ENB in mind and boosting the glow factor in the nif production - I went into the offending nifs and decreased the glow factor for the components and it worked perfectly.

I do love the weather plugin of version 2. I think it might be my settings, but the blacks are still very heavy. So I decided instead to use haze weathers 2 plugin with the enb only from haze weathers 1. The color balance on the first enb is a lot better! I love it with your landscape mod :)

Either way, this is just on my end. I really hope that there are othera who love this over the others. Im really happy you have so many options! Great work!

Ok, still happy if Haze Weathers 1 ENB works for you!
