Doesn't seem to be working as described anymore. I'm level 49 with 1 unspent perk point and after setting to .5 I had 49 perk points. I tried setting to .25 then (because what I wanted was half again as many perk points, i.e. an extra perk point every other level) but the number didn't change. Then I tried setting to 0 hoping I could remove the extra perk points and it put me at 51 perk points. I removed the mod and reverted to a clean save point. No harm, just putting this here to save others a little time. So sorry! I got this mod mixed up with "More Perk Points Per Level". I'm running this one now but looks like I'll have to level one more time before any extra points are applied. I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks!
I've never had any issue in any of my playthroughs so consider the possibility that something else is causing an issue. Are you running the game with SKSE every time?
Mod does not work. Using latest version of SKSE. Top of Load order. Followed directions to the letter. typed in "set ppl to 4" with no quotes. Leveled up. Getting no extra perk points whatsoever. I'd like to know if I perhaps did something wrong?
Considering nobody else has reported an issue since the 2.0 update, suspect user error. Try reinstalling it. Others have had luck with that apparently.
Edit: Nothing changed. Here are the detailed steps: Extracted rar file. Put resultant files into data launched thru skse Enabled mod using the built-in manager started game "set ppl to 4" "player.advskill onehanded 5000" The resultant level up yielded no skill points. :c
I just loaded the game up and repeated your exact steps and got level 5 and 20 skill points.
Try creating a new profile in Vortex and only enable this mod. After that load to the main menu, open console and type "coc riverwood". That'll load a fresh char near Riverwood to quickly test it again, then repeat your steps. If it works, that means there's some other mod doing something somewhere.
I honestly couldn't tell you. There really shouldn't be any issue with another mod causing any conflicts because this mod is completely custom. The only thing I can think of is the install option settings. When you first install the mod, on first run it checks your character level to see if it's greater than 1, and if so then there should be a pop-up asking if you want to continue from a previous version (updated from last) or continue as though it's the first time installing the mod. Did you get that pop-up when you loaded into that char the first time, assuming it was level 2 or greater?
You might want to consider performing a clean save. Here's Batman himself to explain how to do that.
I'm using the oldrim version of skyrim, (I don't have a good PC so I can only use this version), I downloaded the file and installed it in the steam files, exactly in the folder where the mods are located. So far ok, however, the question is: is this mod compatible with Oldrim? because it didn't work for me ;-;
Do you have SKSE installed? If you do and it's still not working, then you may have to back port it in the creation kit. Details can be found here. It's the same process basically. I haven't tried it but that may be required.
Nice mod, I was wondering you ever consider of making a mod similar to this where the higher level you go the more perks you earn? I feel like the more stuff unlock later on in game feel like punishing for being higher level.
Also I was wondering if there is any incompatibility of https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/2743
I don't quite know what you mean when you say "I feel like the more stuff unlock later on in game feel like punishing for being higher level", but no, I don't have any plans for anything like that.
As per your second question, no, there is no incompatibility. I've used that mod before.
I mean like the higher level you are you have more options to spent perk but not enough points to use them. And then my game just scale harder while im level 30 but only have few perks active. But thanks for fast reply man. What I mean was like there should be a mod like yours but compunding perks as your skills reaching to 100 on one of the mastery.
mod doesnt work for me i have the frame work 1.3 version and skse installed and the mod enabled and everything but when i go ingame and type it into the console nothing happens it doesnt say anything.
