The black face bug is an old and persistent bug. And can only be fixed on users end. How to fix. 1. Launch CK 2. Go to data->and open LydiaRedone. Set it as active at bottom of data window. 3. Go to actors->nord race->females. Then scroll down to housecarls whiterun. 4. Double click to open edit window. 5. In edit window go to face gen parts and change something. Such as hair color. 6. Close edit window. 7. Now highlight the housecarl whiterun (highlight only). 8 Now hit ctrl+f4. A window will come up asking to export. Say yes. 9. Exit CK. You don't need to save. 10. Go to games root directory. Then data->Textures->Actors->character->FaceGenData->FaceTint. Open each folder in there and delete any tga files you see. Problem solved. I did this before uploading. So if your getting black face then means each users will have to do this. An old issue, that's never been fixed. And this is the only known fix. Sorry for the inconvenience, but it's not on my end. Edit: 2/20/17: Just uploaded the DDS file for Lydia's face. For those not wanting the hassel of the CK. Extract the zip and drop in your data folder. Should fix black face issue.
Loot tells me that it's missing two .esm files, Apachiiskymale.esm and Apachiifemale.esm, these files are skyrim original files it would be better to use the new Skyrim SE version of ApachiiSky hair styles, http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/2014/?
If you go to the link I provided in credits you will find the downloads for males and females. And they work in SSE. Also need the main file. So download all 3. I went to install Lydia Redone and I have Lilly the pretty courier installed. It asked me if I want to activate this mod instead. What is the proper way to have both active, without complications. They both overwrite the same nif or use the same nif.
Lilly is a mod done by another author. If that author is using the vanilla Lydia head for Lily. Then it is that mod that needs to be corrected. My mod edits the vanilla assets of said NPC. If another mod is using those assets for purposes other than vanilla edits, then it's their mistake. Have them correct themselves. Or don't use their mod. Or don't use mine. Choice is yours. I'm not the one creating a custom character using vanilla assets. I'm directly editing a vanilla asset. And custom means non vanilla assets. And Lilly is a custom NPC. Not a vanilla NPC.
Can you please give us a direct link to the download for the CK? It seems that 99 percent of us are not mod authors and trying to figure out how to actually get the CK in the first place has a lot of lingo and jargon that people wo don't create mods don't know anything about. Thanks.
I downloaded the CK through the "Bethesda net launcher. Don't have the site link, but do have the Net launcher setup program on my cloud. Can anyone please add the default files for Lydia to fix this issue. At this point I'd rather restore her to default than try and figure out how to fix the black face.
Ck is the game editor program. If you don't know what it is, that's ok. But if your having an issue with black face. Then you can't fix it without the CK (Creation Kit).
I'm using the Sepherine body. Which is a modification of the UNP body. The base UNP body has smaller body dimensions. So install that for smaller breast. You can also use bodyslide to create your own body type. The type of body you get when using this is based on what type of body mod you're using. If not using any, then will be the vanilla body type.
Lydia's body type is totally dependent on what body you have installed. I did not give her custom clothing. Used the archmage clothing. Which is a vanilla outfit. This way whatever body you are using is what body she will have. The changes I made were to face, hair, combat class, combat style, and AI packages. No changes to body.
