I have no idea what mod it was, but I saw a giant once all armored up walking with a group of soldiers. So cool. Of course some would want to help the Stormcloaks.
So does this conflict at all with M'Rissi's Tails of Trouble? Considering M'rissi usually hangs around the back of the inn when she's not traveling with you.
Alhtough now I'm just imagining M'rissi having conversations with Hogor lol.
it couldve been better if his camp was outside and he occasionaly traveled back and forth to his spot back of giant's rest inn one day a week to hangout there. would be hard for the inhabitants of the village to co-exist with an smelly loud giant living right in their midst.
I wish this was ported to original skyrim I really liked hogor but I haven't been able to get special edition to work right. Does anyone know if the mod works for og skyrim?
Imagine this: A giant living somewhere outside of Riverwood, perhaps in a cave nearby, who keeps a watchful gaze on the small hamlet, protecting its people from bandit raids, vampire attacks and even dragons. But to the citizens he’s only an urban legend, a story mothers tell their children at night.
But one day Dragonborn arrives at the village and meets a man who’s obsessed about the giant and is ready to do anything to prove that the giant isn’t just a myth. Dragonborn offers to escort him to the giant’s cave, but unfortunately a group of angry guards and villagers follow them, demanding the giant must be exiled or outright executed. And we get to decide the ending!
For anyone worried about this conflicting with "Jk's Riverwood" - I have played with both mods together and the only conflict I've noticed is that the other mod places some sort of small windmill at a place where "Hogor the Giant" places some rocks. Overall, I love this mod and cannot imagine a playthrough without it - so much so that the follower mod I'm developing will make reference to Hogor.
As for the idea of making him a follower, I think it's possible. There are a couple of mod authors who have accomplished something similar, like "Sassy Teen Giants" and "Playable Giant Race".
I dont would recommend you to take a giant as a follower, because they just made for walking outside in the world. Giants just randomly stuck on signs or other stuffs, if they would try to follow you. In dungeons the most parts would probabbly to small for them and a way to buggy. I never tried it, but that is what would happen probably.
No patches or stand alone versions for the Mod planned yet. But I will see how many ask for that. Maybe I will change my mind.
On the subject of Giants acting more like moving objects, I have noticed that Hogor has a habit of displacing "children playing" into the architecture of Riverwood so they get stuck; and are sometimes elevated into wooden posts as they stand (I haven't checked anywhere else).
Haven't noticed any adults being affected.
It's interesting that the "you as a moving object" cannot displace actors in this way. It could be an easy fix.

I too will put in a request to make it compatible with JK's Riverwood as that would be perfect.
Either way great as is...thanks for sharing this mod.
Must have my giant follower!
Thank you!
