Excellent idea and work, Diethardt. This with Unobtrusive Candlelight Fix are perfect for avoiding the migraine-inducing ,bouncy, glaring ball of pain which is the vanilla candlelight.
would be awesome if it was a standalone spell, so that it didn't touched the lights at the college.
Although cool looking at the college, I find it makes less special having it as a spell, I use strange runes but have it only active for my character, combined with runic glowing tattoos I have, it fits really great with my pc's backstory as being bretonic magic unique to him.
Been searching like mad for which mod could have screwed-up my light sources at the College Of Winterhold. Forgot A) I had installed this mod and B) that it changes the College's lights also, including those added by a mod that changes the Arch Mage's quarters into a deluxe dwelling with garden and floating lights.
I'd prefer a version that doesn't change the College's lights. No longer using the mod for that reason. Sorry.
all light sources use the same skin, no apologies needed. if something changes the light source skin that will be in direct conflict with this mod, no way to separate light source.
Yeah, the really interesting thing about this is that you see just how many things in the game draw from the candlelight textures. The stars in the perk constellations for instance. Not sure I like the rune for candlelight itself but they look really neat in the perk constellations.
IDK if this would be the right place for this, probs not. but is there a mod like this that changes the spells held in hand to look like the light? you know, with an array or circle?
You might want to try this: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/19456?tab=posts&BH=0 It's called Strange Runes. Not sure if it's your flavour or not.
Anyone know if theres a way to change the blue color of the sigil texture thing to an orangeish color? I see the 2nd download changes the one in your hand to orange but not the one that floats . Thanks
This is an outstanding fix, and texture change. I use the alternate file, and I love the way it looks. Especially in the College of winterhold magelights, and the skill interface menu.
Installed, had to tab out instantly to comment on this thing - this is so much better than the vanilla skin. It looks so good and isn't a huge bright spot on the screen, much easier on my eyes. Works with 1st Person Candlelight Fix and I recommend using it with this because you get it on your screen in 1st person view.
