They are only triggered when actively opening containers - which I believe regular NPCs don't do. But once the rats run off (they are very speedy and you may not even notice them), any NPC will fight them. They serve as a good distraction.
I am also seeing this. Rats all over bannermist, and then all over falkreath. So many rats that I can't use the carriage there. The driver keeps saying "looks like we have company" because the rats are setting off combat.
Any way we can tweak things? I can't see an ini file to mess with settings.
Thanks for this fantastic mod! I love how rare the events are. It got me again the other day! I use it along side Spiderlings. They work well together.
I am interested in what v.1.1 has updated. Would you perhaps please share changelogs of your mods?
Don't forget the tiny skeevers (aka rats)... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Them filthy rodents are still coming for your souls, never to let go, never to let goooooo--THEM RATS!! -- Ghost
Thanks for not mocking my musical tastes too badly. I admit to blasting the song while clearing out the Plague Cultists from that Dwarven ruin.
Ohh, Add one or two bees to flowers at low odds? Bees are one of the major pollinators around, even in Skyrim. (Patch it into Haladoon's Bugs using Base Object Swapper for the odds part) We need to keep the bandits griping about beer and mead, after all!
(and swarms of them if you don't harvest wild beehives with proper protection like an elemental cloak spell or repurposed fishing garb. FailArmy!)
