I am having some trouble getting the scriptorium to work. I have been using this mod for a long time, and (as funny as it is) I was able to get the scriptorium and place it (like with the campfire system) on the xbox version. For some reason, I cant find the scriptorium anywhere in my game on PC, except for in the bards college. perhaps I am missing a file or I didn't set it up correctly - when i type "scriptorium" into the console, the only 'scriptorium' option that comes up is of type FURN, which is not inventoriable, and if I remember correctly from the xbox version, you should be able to craft one and place it somewhere.. Does anyone know what might be causing this?
My apologies, actually it just turns out that I can’t read- in order to have the Scriptorium I need to download the campfire addon, I don’t believe I had to do this on Xbox, or maybe I did and it’s just been so long that I forgot
I'm not sure if this is included or it's in the scope of the mod: but any chance to add a book after "Lost to the Ages" quest, where MC exposes truth and sort of restores post-mortem academic "honor" ( not sure if that is the right word for it) to Katria? Maybe also add a small courier note, after x day passes, sort of thank-you from Imperial Royal academy ( or whats-its-name).
Hello, What a nice idea for my Bard playthrough, thank you for this mod ! I'm only interested in writing my own personal quest books, Can I safely disable the other books with SSEEdit ?
Hi. First of all, thanks you for the creation of this mod. I've been having issues with the travel scriptorium. The other portable one works fine, but the travel scriptorium simply disappears when I try to place it over a table. I haven't been to the bard's college yet after nstalling the mod (created the item with the "resourcefullness" option from campire). I'm using campfire, bardic lore, vanilla patch, campfire patch, and ussep book covers patch. I also have Become a Bard installed.
A suggestion, if I may: could you put on a list all the titles of the quest books added (the ones the dragonborn can write after completing a quest)?
First of all, this mod is amazing. I love how well it integrates into the vanilla game. Could've been there the whole time. I just have one issue. I have purple texture for papers (on the table and the book). I have the USSEP patch and the only mod I have that affects the Bards College is At Your Own Pace.
Thank you for letting me know that you're seeing that issue. I'll double check the bsa files and make sure that nothing is missing. I'm so glad that you're enjoying the mod. I remember literally wondering who was making all the books as they one of the only items that the player can't make.
I'm not sure what is going on. The paper textures are included in the file. I'll upload a loose file version so that you can grab the textures of the paper in case you have something odd overwriting them or the bsa isn't reading correctly for you. I'm afraid you're the only person who is reporting this issue.
Thanks for letting me know. Please try the loose version and see if that helps. I'm wondering if a texture has been overwritten by another mod you might have. If it doesn't help, let me know and I'll see what else I can try.
I'm also having this issue sadly along with some Leafs from bards reborn still being on the table for some reason, how would I fix this with the loose version if you don't mind me asking? Do I have to use the loose version instead of the ESL version or do I use both? What would I be looking for if it involves xEDIT because I've looked through it and I can't see anything that's a conflict to textures Unless I'm missing something? I'm not the best Modder so some stuff confuses me, and any help would be appreciated!
Had this same problem, the book and the leaf on the desk in the Bard's college was blueish/purple instead of the illuminated book and leaf. I took the loose versions mesh and textures folders, dumped them into the patch for Unofficial, and that corrected it. I already had a game going, and as always never ever wanted to add .esp's or .esl's into the mix even at the end of the load order. Those loose folders were all that were needed.
Looks nice now!
btw, took a peek at the included meshes and textures in Cathedral's Asset tool. It had no problems with those files, so SSE AE latest update ready!
I love the concept for this mod and it works flawlessly. I only have one suggestion: the craftable books pertaining to completed quests are very hard to find among the hundreds of other books. Maybe they could be renamed so they all have a common series title in their name, like "My adventures in Skyrim: [actual title]" or something to that effect, so they can be sorted more easily if you're mostly interested in writing your memoirs rather than copying other people's books.
I really like that idea. When I have some time, I'll start renaming and see what character limit I'm working with. Very glad that you're enjoying the mod.
An interesting idea. Going to add it to my tracked and see how it progresses. I think the values are far too high but that's a personal thing I suppose
Check the documents tab, I try to update the readme with current changes with every new version. Additionally, I update the general information on the main mod page with the most recent changes. I've added the changelog and I'll try to remember to update it as well.

Everything else about this mod is excellent and really makes the college feel like a worthwhile endeavour for a bardic playthrough!
