so, emerald test 2 crashes game but test 3 works fine like no crashes and no moving But test 3 has DEEP DARK green color, almost black its like test 3 have wrong texture or smth like that
As far I can tell the emeraldfalwed with the test3 version is fine now but the garnetflawed is still causing crashes according to the crash logger. So I just removed the meshe from the mod and now no more crashes.
I love this mod, I really do. It sings to me as I am a massive gem nerd and love colorful shiny things. However....
I made a complete clean install of my game to test what was crashing me, and after much trial and error, I've unfortunately pinpointed this mod as the source.
The first go around, I downgraded my game to 1.5.97 for more compatibility with older SE mods. Yes it was a mess, and I thought that was the cause of the CTD's at first, which is why I nuked the game and started over.
Now I'm running on a clean install of 1.6.1130.08(? AE latest build), and I'm experiencing the same problems I had the first time. To test what exactly in this mod was killing my game, I went to the qasmoke hall to take all gems, soulgems, and staves to test. I dropped everything out of my inventory one by one, staves, gems, soulgems, and quest items this mod alters, and the single one item that crashes me without fail every time it's dropped is...the common emerald.

Why? I have no idea! :D I can see it in my inventory preview, I can rotate it around and watch it catch the light, but the moment I drop it into the world, it yeets me out of game so fast. I guess it just doesn't like the disrespect? xD
I'm guessing the model being out on display was apparently crashing me every time I tried to get into Mercer Frey's house (Riftweald Manor in Riften), Mistveil Keep (Riften), and Evergreen Grove northwest of Falkreath, without fail on both game installs, and also no matter what variation of the mod options I chose on install.
I'd love to see this fixed if you, or anyone willing to pick up the torch have the time, you did such great work with this mod and I'd love to keep using it.
For further transparency, I have all creation club content included with AE installed, and a small list of 16 plugins from Nexus Mods that are all conflict free. I was uninstalling mods one at a time in MO2 when I realized removing this one completely allowed me to go back to the problematic cells, and then I reinstalled it to recreate the issue a few times for good measure. I later went back after uninstalling the mod and did not crash when dropping the emerald.

No problem at all, thanks for the quick response! It appears to be the little emerald, the more cubic cushion cut one. The perfect emerald was just fine.
I think this mod causes crashes? I hadn't crashed in many hundreds of hours, and had a few since installing this. I tried to fix it based on comments and replacing meshes etc but I still get crashes. Can't say for certain it's this, since I have thousands of mods, but the issue is new and this mod was one of only a few recently added mods and I think it may be this one
TY for report nasty. At moment I have no timeto check again all models for fix. Sorry. Maybe when I retire I will be able to dedicate more time to this and the other mods.
This only modifies the game's vanilla gems. it doesn't interfere with all those gems added by other mods.However, this will conflict with other mods that change the appearance of vanilla gems or soulgems or quest gems such as Barenzia, Azura or Meridia and vanilla magic staffs. If you know what you're doing, you can also decide to load the ones you like by changing the loading order of the mods or installing only the models and textures of the gems you prefer without loading the complete mod.
when i install, some gems are en english and some in italian... update: i had to pick last option in installer, instructions dont tell anything about it (at least i didnt notice )
I was getting crashes, CTDs, NW of Falkreath even without the plugin installed. Near the Burnt out Carriage and the Dragon Mound. I guess I might've suspected seeing the comments here are: "The latest version causes CTD in Valerica's lab, even disabling the esp." & "It seems that I get also CTD each time I try to go near the Kolskeggr mine."

CTD can be caused by FX on mesh as soon as they are viewed (entered the field of view). But this doesn't happen to all players. I think it is due to the type of effects, environment and shaders activated on the game. On my game, for example, I tested the meshes one by one before releasing the latest update and they all worked without CTD. The plugin does not affect this but yes, it is possible to use the mod only as a replacement of mesh and texture (textures alone would be useless). Option for this into the fomod. To test which meshes give you CTD, try visualizing the stones or soulgems into a safe room, inside and outside the inventory. Thank you
