I probably am just missing something and this is common sense but whenever I try to put on the daedric armor I loot from the Rosalind quest it causes a ctd... I am using cbbe. It's not much of a problem cause nothing happens if I don't equip the armor but I am just trying to figure out what is causing this..
Thank you for the mod. Even when I am using only the CBBE part for my female character. As I don't use HIMBO at all. But I wanted to thank you for that CBBE part, now the amulet nicely fits
So, you mentioned that the ragged trousers and worn trousers are just a vanilla item mesh with a unique texture, does that mean that whatever shape we set for Kaidan's trousers is also going to be applied to NPCs wearing the vanilla trousers?
Sorry, I know this is probably a weird question. I try to use CBBE (and now HIMBO, thank you!) to add body diversity where I can, so I'm wondering if this mod makes it possible to have a different himbo preset for Kaidan than is used for other NPCs.
So Kaidan 2 included a duplicated version of the ragged trousers (two versions actually, with Kaidan's bloody/dried scars on the skin texture). I assume these clothes are supposedly what he wears during the prologue quest, however, liv might probably swapped it out with the dark brown trousers; but never deleted those two old meshes.
Again, this is my assumption because I don't think I've played through the entirety of Kaidan's quest, so I included bodyslide for them just in case.
To answer your question, the ragged trousers are separate item ID than the vanilla, so any other NPC wearing the vanilla version are unaffected.
If you want body diversity, I suggest looking up AutoBody or OBody (Standalone version exist if you're not using OStim; but AutoBody is the better choice imo)
Yay, good to know that changes to his outfit won't affect other NPCs!
I'd heard about OBody but hadn't seriously considered it since I don't use OStim, but AutoBody wasn't on my radar, and it sounds perfect, kind of complicated but it seems like it's worth it for how configurable it is. Thanks for the quick response and the advice!
Thank you so much for this, I am still a noob when it comes to messing around with Nifscope. I am trying and failing to convert your Skimpy Kaiden from SAM over to Himbo, do you plan to? As it stands using your male Armor replacer which is gorgeous and amazing work, Kaiden stands out like a sore thumb. Any recs? Thanks again for making things for people like us. <3
I actually have converted that to HIMBO but I forgotten about it since I been using my newly-released skimpy Samurai armor. I'll publish it later today when I get off work :)
sorry if dumb question but there's no instructions in description. Do I need run bodyside or overwrite these files in Kaidan folder? I'm new to this, thanks in advance. Also, how do you "run" bodyslide? Already have himbo installed/working ?
Run bodyslide means you need to launch Bodyslide, and select the Kaidan files (pick them from the Outfit/Body dropdown), and click Build one by one.
Alternatively, you can just write "Kaidan" on the Outfit Filter box (indicated by the magnifying glass, top right of the window), select your desired preset, and click Batch Build.
In the original mod, the armor can be worn both with vanilla male body and vanilla female body. My mod is just a refit of his armor to conform to HIMBO sliders, users who use for HIMBO for male body.

I suppose I can ~
