Obviously I am not an animator and therefore rely on Bethesda's awful animations (sorry Bethesda lol). I did a ton of work and spent a 1000 hours getting these stupid animations which are split into a million files for some freaking reason, to work on a timer and not totally fall apart and break into a million pieces. I did this when Special edition was like 6 seconds old and tried to support it for a long time afterwards.
Eating Animations and sounds has MUCH better animations and I prefer it. Especially the new update. Since it doesn't cover NPC's and it doesn't have some of the quality of life features my mod has, I put together this update as a way of complimenting that mod, and to say thank you to loyal Animated Eating users and reward them with 100+ new recipes if they still choose to use it :)
I highly recommend eating Animations and sounds though, its a huge step up in animation quality.
If you don't like the choices I've made on the food models, download an old version of the mod and replace them with whichever ones you liked from the old versions, or use nifskope to make your own
When NPC's use cups or bowls to drink the textures are purple. I literally dont even have other texture mods installed that would affect that. How can the textures be "Missing" if nothing is even being overwritten? I ran Nemesis and tried putting this at the bottom of the load order, no change. I dont know whats wrong, any ideas?
does this work i spent few minutes watching NPC in sleeping giant inn and not a single one of them used a tankard to drink or brought something out to eat i'm using this with animated eating sounds
edit : nvm npc just took thier sweet ass time to eat something or it could be just the game restart fixed it
Not sure if this has been reported already, but I'm having a bug with a helmet reequipping after eating or drinking, even if I don't have that helmet in my inventory anymore. I had the "Unequip worn helmet" option enabled once, but after a while I turned it off. Somehow though this mod brings back lastly used helmet after eating / drinking regardless of my inventory state. Is there a possible fix for this?
Edit: The only temporary solution I found is to find another helmet, have it equipped, turn the "Unequip worn helmet" option on again, eat something to have it unequipped, equip again, turn the option off. From now on I can go without helmets or change them safely, but the option remains disabled.
I use Nemesis to refresh my animations. Using version 4.2, the animations of both PC and NPC are normal, but for version 4.6, the NPC eats randomly normally, and the PC has no animations except bread. What am I missing?
Since version 4.5, the author of this MOD has completely abandoned player animations. From version 4.5 onwards, the animation effects of this MOD are only effective for NPCs. According to the author's update log, the removal of player-related features is intended to enable players to utilize the animation effects of "Eating Animations and Sounds".
This mod does not work, besides not making the animations, it bugs out causing the food not to be consumed and the hungry status does not go away when I use this mod in survival mode!
I have that exact issue with this mod, it constantly interrupts me while roaming around and my character pulls out a loaf of bread to eat. The mod says that NPC and Followers have the function to automatically eat, not the PC. Kind of strange how no one else has this problem.
Check the hotkeys in the MCM, I think there's one bound by default to J that you may be hitting by mistake, had the same problem before I changed it to another key
following this comment, I tried on Pandora and there was no box to check like other mods, and when I ran it anyways, all my eating animations were gone. People just sat in their chairs doing nothing. Looking forward to Pandora support, whether its Pandora supporting this, or this supporting Pandora.
Randomised Vanilla Food Animations works well with Pandora. It covers npcs, and can work for player with animations enabled in ineed(that's what I use).
The root cause of purple textures is that the mod ships animobject meshes that use the folder textures/clutter/food/mtc/ in their texture paths, which aren't provided by the FOMOD or any of its requirements, or by the recommended HD mods or the HD mod patch under Old Files.
at some point I will TRY to get back to this mod and fix bugs. I just have too much on my plate now. Anyone else is free to make patches etc. I dont know why anyone uses his mod still, There's better alternatives!
The NPCs shoving entire apple pies on their faces to take a small bite are just like me. I envy their ability. It sings to my soul. I love this mod and seeing them do it instead of chewing on tankards.
Hey author. Thanks for the mod. I remember having something like this back in 18. Glad I could find this mod now. I do notice that the TFC hotkey crashes my game to desktop. Changing the hotkey just changes what button crashes me to desktop. Any good fix for this, or why/what is causing this? Thanks for reading, take care and be well.

edit: I still haven't found a way to turn it off. This feature has been negatively impacting my experience.
Works with Pandora. It's a little different and it doesn't have the custom food support, but you can move while eating or drinking a thing.

Those textures come from Nernies City and Village Expansion for LE.
