Next update will add the ability to import/export the player's inventory, and MAYBE spells/shouts/passive effects. I should also mention, I noticed that the appearance isn't exported entirely. While most of the appearance stuff exports correctly, I'm still trying to figure out how to export/import face morphs. As it is, slider data won't be transferred. Hopefully I'll figure out a solution soon. In the meantime, an alternative could be to use racemenu and create a preset of your character's appearance, then just load that preset on the save you want to import to.
Another thing, I'm busy with midterms at the moment so I won't be able to work on the mod for a while. I hope to finish this mod up long before finals, but I can't predict the future.
Oh, yeah, I completely forgot to do that, thanks! As for using a repository, I've never used one before, so I'm not sure where to start. I definitely want to get one set up soon, though.
EDIT: Just created a GitHub repository, was a lot easier than I expected.
use the Project tab for your plans and track your issues: you can use the default Kan-ban template for this.
as for commiting, try to commit not to often (every line change), also not to rarely (like every major 2 updates). try to make a commit everytime you have a build you think you can fall back to if something breaks.
Just to make sure, did you update to the most recent version? I'm assuming that you did, but I want to make sure. I'll have to look into this issue some more. Do you have PapyrusUtil? I forgot to add that to the requirements for the first two versions I uploaded, maybe that's the issue? Other than that, I can't think of anything off the top of my head.
It does seem like Vortex did not properly install PapyrusUtil so I am going to install it manually and try again! Seems like vortex only copied over PapyrusUtil's readme into my data files.
Once you have things started, please take a look at Legacy of the Dragonborn. They used to have a feature that would save any item in the museum but, for some reason, they removed it. Biggest pain in the caboose!
Also, take a look at Skyrim Utility Mod on LL. It has many of the features you are trying to achieve. Including factions.
That's an awesome idea, it would be nice to be able to choose what stats to save in the future (judging from the screenshot of the menu, didn't test it, yet).
This seems like a really cool idea! I do have a question, and I don't really understand how anything works with modding, so take my dumbness with a grain of salt, please.
Would it be possible, way down the line of development, to implement some kind of way where items from your inventory could be transferred as well? For example, an amulet with a certain enchantment on it, or your favorite armor, or even wigs for our fashion-minded friends?
Again, no idea if this is even possible. I also realize that this mod is in very early stages and has a lot of other things to worry about first, but I guess I'm really just spitballing here lol
That's the goal. Right now, I'm gonna be focusing solely on finding a way to export/import vanilla stuff, but later down the line I want to add compatibility for other mods, like Immersive Armors/Weapons and the like. I'll prolly also make it open source once I have a decent framework so that other people can make their own patches. Don't know how long it'll be until then, though. Hopefully not too long.
Quest data would be cool. Doing that Gauldur Amulet quest every character because i want the amulet but my ocd prevents me from just spawning it in gets old. Seriously i think I've done that quest 200 times at this point. But no clue if you could even get it to import quest data without some serious bugs happening.
I'm a huge fan of this idea, tracking and gonna endorse when i download in the future.
Probably a hard ask, but, would it be possible to save MCM settings? There's nothing more frustrating than going through hundreds of mcm's every time you start a new game!
No reason it won't be. The experience mod only changes how you get experience and level up, it doesn't actually affect your stats, at least as far as I'm aware.

Suggestions:
- Septims (X chance to reduce between Y and Z (% or flat value) )
- Item Types (owned, equipped, favorites)
- Enchants (on items)
- Enchants (learned)
- Spells (learned, favorites)
- Bounty
- Books (learned)
- Randomly reduce 1-3 stats (minor, major)
- Randomly reduce X skills (minor, major)
And please make them optional, so that we may resurrect as fortunate in the lowlife as we desire.
PS: Just make sure none of the NPCs remember any of the horrible things we did to them.
also, maybe try to use a repository, shoud be easier to maintain and track issues. also getting feedback on code helps

Should be fixed now. I accidentally put the .json files into the wrong directory. Oops.

I don't know how to do this properly....
